Our stay at Swissbel Resort was amazing. Friendly reception staff upon arrival and throughout our stay. Was helpful to have the restaurant and bowling alley on hand as after a long day out, dinner downstairs before bed wasnt too far away. The room matched the pictures we booked for and was surprised with the room and bed size. Was happy to see bed heating as it was definitely needed for the cold nights and early mornings as was the heating for our room. Although the place may need a spruce up here and there, overall we enjoyed our stay and happy to say we would stay here again. Thank you so much team, appreciate it ☺️

We finished a 3 day hike and arrived late at night (they had helped to store our bags too for the 3 days we were away which was nice). I didn't request a twin room but we were allocated one. The wonderful receptionist quickly fixed this. The room was extremely large and the hotel is less than 10 minutes from QT so overall was good. We found a hair in the bathtub which was kind of off putting and the bath amenities pumps weren't really working too well. So those were the downsides. The positivists mentioned Aretha lovely big rooms, location in Arthur's Point and we had booked a late night Onsen Erich is 1 minute walk from the hotel, so it was perfect for us. The price is good and if they fix the above it would be fantastic.

Not impressed at all, do not be fooled by the photos they are either wildly out of date or photoshopped. Our room was shabby, the sink and bathroom floor full of chips, and the carpet gross throughout the place. So loud, it felt like the young men that finished up at the bars at 4am were in the room with us until they passed out at around 5:30am. The entire place was rundown and I wouldn’t recommend.

Kia Ora Heta, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Your feedback is important to us, and would like to address your points. The pictures on our website are of the rooms and facilities, they are not old nor are they "photoshopped". We take pride in providing a great experience to our guests. I do agree, that some of the public areas need attention, and I am happy to inform you that renovations have began. Regarding the noise, we have a 24 hour reception, and a zero noise tolerance policy after 10PM. On your next visit, please ensure you inform our team of any disturbance at nights, they will attend to this without delay. Heta, again, I would like to thank you for your review, and look forward to welcoming you back to our renovated property in a few months. Kind regards, Adam Berman General Manager

Friendly front of house and house keeping staff. Although there are staffing shortages everywhere, the staff here were always available and helpful. Our house keeping team although on a 3 day turn around service, did not get to service our room while we were there, offered towels and extra tea, coffee without hesitation when requested. Thank you so much! The decor is quite out dated and while at first it was off putting, (cream/green interior hallway and furniture, corridor stained carpets, seeing the size of our room and how clean it was made up for it. The bed was a king/possible super king, very comfortable and extra pillows provided. The continental breakfast is more than sufficient. Again the waiting staff I approached where happy to top up, add more (the pastries). Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I guess this once was a beautiful hotel. But it needs a massive renovation and a lot of TLC! The carpet run down, I could hear the guests on the floor above me walking their room. There is just no appeal to this place at all.

Kia Ora Reenaypl, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We have taken all your comments into consideration. I would like to note that our location is only 7 minutes drive from Queenstown CBD. There is a public bus outside of the hotel that you can take in and out of town. As our property has a bowling alley, it is indeed very family friendly. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Check-in was friendly and easy, and it was pointed out that they were short staffed so room servicing was only being done every three days. The front desk staff did highlight that if we needed anything just to ask. The room itself was a bit tired and needed a refresh. The wooden window frame shows signs of water damage and there are cracks appearing around some of the ceiling joins. The room heater, while effective, was quite noisy when operating. Otherwise it was warm, comfortable, quiet (excluding the heater) and clean. Location is great if you are heading for Coronet Peak. A 20 minute-ish drive had us from the hotel and into the mountain cark parks, so super handy. You are about 10 to 15 minutes from Queenstown by car so that may be something to consider. I suppose it all comes down to would be stay here again? No. Despite the friendly staff the place needs an overhaul and in the end the location whilst great for Coronet was restrictive if you did not have a car to shoot back into Queenstown.

From the moment we arrived we were met with friendly staff. From the receptionist to the housekeepers. Like all of this area at the moment there was a severe shortage of staff however; they were amazing and all our need were met. We stayed three days during bad weather on the mountain and love the location. A close drive to all of the areas great places and very accessible. Two fabulous places across the road for dinner (the restaurant was closed because of staff shortages at the hotel) and we had a great afternoon at the onsen across the road. We WILL be back

Wow Adele, what a wonderful review! Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Our staff members are indeed working very hard these days due to the shortage of staff in Queenstown, and are all fully dedicated to providing the best service they can. Hopefully in the next week all our outlets will open as we are currently training some new staff members. In the meantime, I truly hope you enjoyed the bowling alley, arcade and the cozy fire place at reception. I will pass your comments to the team. Your review is what drives the team to work hard every day. On behalf of all of us here at Swiss-Belresort Queenstown, we look forward to welcoming you back soon! Kind regards, Adam

We stayed at the Hotel after our flight was cancelled last minute. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and instantly less anxious after a very stressful afternoon. We ended up having to stay an extra couple of days and we’re very grateful for the staff for accommodating us and making us feel welcome. After all the places we stayed over our time in NZ this was one of our favourite despite the circumstances. Greatly appreciate the team and their friendly personalities, keep up the good work!

Our family stayed here for a week while skiing and exploring Queenstown. We found the rooms comfortable, clean, comfy beds with ample heating. While staff shortages are everywhere at the moment we were mindful that service during busy times may take a while longer. The bowling alley on-site was a big hit, dinner meals could not fault and Brendan’s service in F&B was very efficient. A few upgrades could be had but overall we had a comfortable stay and will happily return.
