The hostel is in a great location, close to town but away from congestion and noise. Also it's right near the towns largest grocery store. I would recommend this hostel because of its friendly, homelike feel. The staff are very helpful and even offer to carry your luggage for you (you wouldn't get that at Base or Nomads!). Plus, it...

The hostel is very convenient to walk into Queenstown from. The owner was very friendly and showed us around. The kitchens and bathrooms were very clean. We were in one of the outside huts. There was plenty of parking as well for our car. Wifi was free, but you had to get a new code from 10am every morning. We...

Stayed in the flaming kiwi for 2 months as a short termer and liked it so much that I'm heading back for a second stay. Staff are friendly and are willing to help you with any queries, and location wise it's convenient being 5 minutes away from town but also being in a quieter part of queenstown it's not too...

I cannot recommend the Flaming Kiwi enough. The dorm room are welcoming and spacious, with lockers for valuables. They are cleaned daily, the kitchens and bathrooms twice daily. There are 6 shared bathrooms throughout the hostel, which are always spotless and relatively modern. The common room is large with lots of sofas, and there's always someone there watching a movie,...

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything. They have a big living room with TV and couches. Unlimited...

Stayed here for a week with a friend as a cheaper alternative to the accommodation provided my kiwi experience. We booked a dorm room but were upgraded to a twin/double room for the whole stay! There is more than one kitchen, so there was plenty of room to cook. Also there are a few lounge rooms so loads of room...

A nice hostel, staff were very friendly and let us use the phone for international phone calls. Loads of space & communal facilities - all very clean & well equipped. Room was big enough for 6 and it was comfy & warm. Wifi could have been better.

Loved this hostel from the moment I arrived. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, homely feel. Very clean. The dorms are spacious with very comfortable mattresses and fun coloured bedding. Lockers with individual plug points inside. Lots of very clean bathrooms, 3 well equipped kitchens and a huge lounge area for socialising in. Free wifi, tea and coffee and bike hire....
