The view is truly wonderful. Close vertical high rocky hill/mountain on the right, the Shotover River curving in front of you with bush scenes to the left. A photo cannot do it justice. Very quiet and peaceful - food for the soul. I had the site to myself one day and felt totally recharged by evening. Andy is a great...

We stayed for 6 days and wish we could have stayed on. A spacious, well appointed country lodge only minutes from Queenstown central with spectacular views. The huge open fire in the lounge creates a welcoming ambience that makes you want to stay. Our hosts were amazing!!

We recently spent a relaxing weekend at the lodge. The lodge was warm on arrival, all we had to do was unpack, relax and enjoy the stunning views. We found the entire lodge to be clean and beautifully appointed with luxurious linen in the bathroom and bedroom. The hostess had thought of everything to make our stay memorable.

After long and careful research of the venues around Queenstown for our wedding we decided to go with The Canyons Lodge. Both Brent and Sarah continuously went out of their way to cater for our needs. Even though they have many customers, it really felt like all their attention was with us. We had our wedding, reception and accommodation all...

I stayed with a group of two other couples in winter for a week and it was amazing. The house is so big each couple had their own space to retreat. The view of the river and the shot over jets adds to the excitement. It is not that far out of town being about 5 minutes drive. It was...

Spent 10 days here with 2 other couples and 3 kids, we had the full run of the entire house and loved it. The views are simply to die for. Very secluded and quiet with the buzz of the jet boats and birds the only break in the silence. Kitchen was fully equipped for Masterchef holiday competitions, the lounge perfect...

The setting was peaceful and the view of the river and mountains was spectacular. The hostess was polite and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't feel that the accomodations and amenities were comensurate with the price. If you believe, as we do, that the details make the difference, The Canyons Lodge missed the mark. Our room was comfortable, but our door stuck...

I recently attended a wedding at this venue. The venue, and view of the surrounding area was great - but didn't cater to people in wheelchairs. Access to the lower slopes where the wedding was held was very difficult and required two strong men to take, and control, the wheelchair down the slope. Getting back up the slope was diabolical...

Just stunning! Perfect for our families with large spaces for the kids to play or kick a ball overlooking the Shotover River. Great place to get ready for a wedding & enjoy mingling with guests on the deck afterwards. Close to Coronet Peak we were able to see the snow come over the mountain and even enjoyed a light smattering...

I loved this place. Beautiful views, lovely big clean rooms, plenty of space for big groups, very luxurious, just loved it. Far away enough to feel like you're away from it all, but close enough to town and activities when you need. Felt like a famous person in complete seclusion, with the spa overlooking a beautiful mountain and river view....
