This is a very long overdue review as I'm notorious at leaving them but it has been on my to do list for ages as we had such a beautiful stay here way back in November last year! Our first proper destination holiday to celebrate our nearly 6 years together. We drove down from Fox Glacier and I highly recommend this drive route, the views were absolutely breathtaking and you won't be able to resist stopping to take it all in. We didn't think it could get any more stunning but when we arrived at the Canyons, we were not disappointed! Jennie and her staff were amazingly welcoming, giving us the right balance between hospitality and privacy. The little details in our room such as local toiletries and refreshments to the decor and soft furnishings made for a perfect little nest in the most gorgeous of surroundings. We chose here after lots of research as we really wanted a relaxing and indulgent stay with the opportunity of enjoying a hot tub in the great views of Queenstown. The Canyons had the best of both worlds as being able to enjoy staying over too really added to the experience. The continental breakfast was delightful, everything was so fresh and lovingly made. I would highly recommend staying here.. my partner and I would love to go back, as fittingly, it was where we got engaged! To top it all, seeing the sheep and wild bunnies grazing outside your hotel room, this is one stay you'll never forget. Thank you again to Jennie and her team, I hope business will be booming when life is back to normal again!

Stunning views and a great location! Quiet and romantic. Jennie and her team go above and beyond in making you feel welcome. The room is very clean and extremely comfortable. The hot pool is a great option for relaxation and a few drinks! The only negative was having to leave

If you have a rental car, stay here. It's about a 4 min. drive into busy Queenstown but the peacefulness is well worth it. Luxury accommodations at a reasonable price. Attention to Detail: Warm and gracious host, rooms and grounds match website and reviews photos, daily complimentary milk/water/sodas/chocolate bars/snack bars/chips/coffee/tea/hot chocolate/mini fridge, local honey scented shampoo and shower gel, robes, slippers, comfortable bed, spotless room, soaking tub, lambs wool rug, private patio, hot tub on grounds, nightly star viewing, friendly sheep visits... we have been planning our trip from the States to New Zealand for over a year and it's always a tough choice to decide where to stay.. in this case, hands down.. this is the best place, host gave us suggestions on things to do...we enjoyed CruiseMilford trip to Milford Sound, Queenstown Gondola and Luge rides, drive to Glenorchy, walk around Queenstown Lake and Gardens, breakfast ( Eggs Bendict) at Bespoke Kitchen 2X, Pizza/Pasta at London Underground, free parking along Robbins Street and also near the Gondola ticket office, Fergburger ( Call ahead to place your order and avoid the line)..Canyons Lodge BB is a gem

This is a spectacular inn! The views and the grounds are gorgeous! We found this place to be incredible romantic, beautiful, comfortable, and classy. We didn't know when we would be arriving and our host, Jennie, was very agreeable to our lack of time commitment! Jennie took exceptional care of us, tidying up our room and bringing us fresh tea and coffee supplies, and clean towels. We enjoyed watching the stars from the hot tub, watching the sunset while eating dinner under the gazebo, watching the quail ad looking at the river. Photos can't do justice to the spectacular beauty of this place, and it s a very nice hotel, too!

I've been three Queenstown and this is the best accommodation I've ever stayed so far. Perfect location, amazing views and very quiet. At night the sky was spectacular. The best place to go for a romantic escape. The room and the bathroom have everything you need. Being in this place is like having a little holidays on top of your holidays. Jenny and Matt were very attentive and they made sure our stay was perfect. Less than 5 mins by car from the city centre and very close to Shotover Jet attraction. If I go again to Queenstown I will repeat The Canyons B&B.
