very nice and kind staff, not bad bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. There is one power plug and one heater which first warm and then too hot and noisy in the bedroom (3 bed) we stayed. not far from supermarket you can walk.

Kia Ora, Thank you for your kind words about Bungi, especially our staff here. We've addressed the power plug issue and ensured there are more available as well as ensuring they are all near a shelf which makes storage easier. Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels ! Despite booking a 7-bed form, I was given a 3-bed dorm with no explanation whatsoever... And "dorm" is a nice way to put it because what I got was something barely bigger that a broom closet. No place to move around, no place to put on your stuff, and everything was a rightful mess because the dorm was used by...

Kia Ora Morgane, I apologise for the room confusion, occasionally we move single bookings to different rooms to accommodate for group bookings, this change isn't always noted down. I know the long termers can be messy and I do constantly remind them to tidy their belongings, I do understand this can be frustrating for people only staying a few nights...

There are no lockers, everything is dirty, there are cats inside, some of the rooms do not have access to the main house and bathrooms, my key didn't work the front door ( where the bathrooms were), the storage room is left open all day with no one's watching it, and lastly the door took our room barely closed and...

Hello, I apologise that you stay at Bungi didn't meet your expectations. We are a small, and old hostel therefore space is limited. However the rooms have sufficient space to store all luggage and you are offered to store any valuables our office safe if required. I'm sorry that you appeared to find the hostel dirty, as we do clean...

Great and helpful staff, clean rooms, large common area and kitchen. Met some awesome fellow travelers and made friends from all over the world. Definitely the best hostel I'v stayed in since My arrival in Queenstown. I felt welcomed and looked after the whole time. Thanks again - Aoife, Lizzy and Sam! X

This is a hostel with lots of travelers but for what it offered and the price, we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a private room the first night and it was a nice clean room. The second night we were in a dorm and again, it was clean and with enough space for everyone. The overall hostel is...

This was me and my sisters first "backpackers" hostel type spot. We had the "Golden Shed" which was just that, a shed. It suited us okay though. While I was none too pleased about the bathroom situation, the staff did a pretty good job keeping it mostly clean. They offer free veggie soup every night and the staff are super...

We arrived at Sir Cedrics quite optimistic about our stay. Before booking it we had read reviews online which were mostly positive, however we left quite disappointed. Firstly, on arrival we were told that despite booking 3 beds in one dorm, there had been an error and we were now all staying in separate rooms. The girl on the desk...

Kia Ora, Apologies that your stay with us wasn't up to expectations. We do our best with keeping the cats out of rooms and regularly put them outside so they do not get overly comfortable slipping in and out of rooms. The hostel is cleaned daily, and again the evening by the evening staff. The night porters also do a...

Best hostel in Queenstown, full of character, amazing staff, clean and homely rooms. The staff were so lovely, helped with anything and everything. Unreal place compared to the generic clinical hostels in QT. Single backpackers have a great space to meet others in the communal areas. We planned to stay for 4 nights but the fact we loved the place,...

I loved staying here and was so sad to leave. It has such a lovely homely feeling, everyone is so nice, staff and long termers and I love the cats and that there is such a big garden. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and has an oven! Yey
