Amazing accommodation, views and service....but watch out for the wine! When first pulling up to The Rees it looks stark and unwelcoming - a bit like you might expect a prison block to look. When you get to reception there is a magical transformation and the view from the picture window is awesome! The lake view apartments are spectacular! They...

I visit Queenstown at least twice a year and try to stay away from the bustle of downtown. For this reason I choose apartments located along the road between Frankton and Queenstown. This is the second time I have stayed at the Rees and I am pleased find neither the service or the apartment quality has changed. This was the...

We had a good stay at The Rees, but with some mixed feelings. We found the maze-like set up of the hotel/apartments to be confusing at first, going from the carpark to get to our room, and through the carpark to get to reception. The driveway to the carpark was particularly narrow. We experienced great service from all the staff...

We stayed here for 4 nights recommended by other people. We had a room with a lake view which was lovely but overlooked uncompleted construction work which meant look out but not down! The room itself was ridiculously small so be careful what you book. The coffee/fridge area was pokie and lacked decent lighting as well as in the bathroom!...

The Rees Hotel & Luxury Apartments This is definitely a high-end, first class accommodation; if you can afford the very best. We were with a tour group and got just a glimpse of what the 'very best' would be. :-) The Rees is built on a hillside in many different modules. The driveway was such that buses could not turn...

We recently stayed at the Rees Hotel in Queenstown and it was wonderful. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very roomy with a full kitchen and balcony overlooking the lake. We had stayed on modest accommodation in other parts of NZ but decided to splash out on our last night and it was well worth it. Will be...

What an amazing place to stay! The staff are very helpful - from the shuttle drivers taking you into town to the bar staff. We used their bikes to ride the lakeside path to the Frankton Markets then enjoyed a glass of wine just soaking up the sublime views in the Bordeaux bar. Food from the restaurant was equisite and...

Staff were very friendly and helpful on checkin. Room had great views, but was on the small side of a five star hotel and interior was rather bland. Bed was soft and bathroom fine. Only one towel pp and only had soap replaced on day 4 of our stay. Because rooms face south to get views and have no north...

Spectacular views (some of the best in queens town and THAT says a lot), a bit far from the cbd (but hotel has a free courtesy mini bus leaving and returning ever hour or so, also water taxi will pickup from front of hotel - its a lovely 5 min trip - or a 20 minute slow beautiful walk by...

Nice hotel....stayed in the 2 bedroom suite...lots of space and wonderful views. Shuttle service to town was a great service. WiFi was not the best but did the job. Shuttle operated hourly. Not far from the city.
