We stayed here for two nights as it the only place to stay in Milford sounds, I can't knock the place on hygiene the bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned daily the only down fall was the size of the kitchen, it was way to small ended up just cooking in the camper van, all the staff brilliant on arrival At... My husband and I stayed here last weekend. We decided to stay in the backpacker lodge in a double room, we were not expecting luxury and knew that bathroom facilities were shared. But the double room was unclean, there was a questionable stain on the bedspread and dust around the skirting. The room has no sound proofing and we could... More

This was one of my favourite stays in NZ. The views from virtually every aspect of this property were breathtaking. Comfortable room, hearty/ home style food at the cafe, the staff were lovely and it's a 10 minute walk to the boats. The lodge provides accommodation for all from comfortable chalets to backpacker style rooms.

After 12 days traveling in the van this was our first power paid site. The amenities for the van brigade was top notch. Nestled amongst' the pines with sheer mountains all around. 50 dollars for the two of us allowed us to use all their facilities. Free dvd's and good coffee. We ate at the restaurant for dinner which was... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Lodge and enjoyed it thoroughly. Seems they have thought of everything. We loved the heated flooring and the DVD selection for cosy nights in. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and view from our cabin.

This place really feels like a jungle oasis at the end of the world. Almost no matter where you're coming from, to get here at all you will have driven for a long time on harrowing mountain roads, probably in the rain. The drive is gorgeous, but very tiring. When we got here, check-in was a total zoo, and we... More

We stayed here for three nights during our honeymoon. The chalets bare absolutely gorgeous. Chalet one or two are probably the best. The staff is all very nice. The service for dinner is not that great but good for being out in the middle of nowhere! We got lucky with having a couple of sunny days which we here is... More

We stayed a few nights in Mountain View Chalet - absolutely stunning views of the mountains and river. The chalet was clean and the decor suits the environment - lots of soft greens and white. I loved that there was a window high on the wall facing the bed so that we could see the sun rising over the mountains.... More

We would highly recommend staying at the Milford Sound lodge to extend your trip to the beautiful Milford Sounds. We stayed in a double room which was great for the two of us but would absolutely look to stay in the mountain view chalets next time as they looked stunning. The restaurant food was fantastic and we were really impressed... More

We stayed at the River Side cabin. Slightly expensive both totally worth it. You don't have much choice if you want to stay overnight at Milford Sound and you must if you can. The Cabin is the real deal. right next to river, beautifully decorated and serene. My wife and i loved our stay and would do it again.
