My husband and i stayed 2 nights in a mountain view chalet at the lodge. Wow!! We were chalet no.7 and had views of both the beautiful mountains and the river. It was peaceful and the large glass door provided an amazing view. I could've sat there all day soaking it in. The chalet felt brand new and finished to... More

Been meaning to stay here for awhile and finally got around to it. Had a campervan so this is for the powered sites section. Facilities a1 - actually the best I've encountered at a holiday park. Toilets are well appointed, showers large and the water hot. Kitchen is great - 4 stations with each station being a 5 burner gas... More

We are so pleased we decided to stay a night, the surrounding bush & views of the mountains was very pleasant. We had a very tasty & reasonable priced evening meal & tasty breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Heated tiling was nice. Modern & new.

My hubby and I were on our honeymoon across the south island. This was the best accomodations we had experience throughout the trip. We had a mountain view chalet. The rooms were clean and the view when we got up in the morning was just spectacular. We loved it that we had our parking spot just next to the chalet,... More

The main building houses a bar, restaurant, and facilities for people to cook and eat their own meals. I caught a sea run trout (22-24") on a white and black marabou Skulpin in the river behind the lodge. After cleaning it I brought it into the restaurant in a bucket. The chef was exited to have a chance to cook... More

Stayed here for the last night of our trip to NZ and we could not have finished in a better way. The rooms are stunning and the facilities are beautiful. The restaurant is the only place to eat and has a very homely feel to it. The beds were so comfy and the view is of a river and the... More

We stayed in one of the chalets for 2 nights (breakfast, dinner and a cruise included) and loved it. The chalet was very nicely done out, felt very modern but perfectly in keeping with the incredible surroundings. Breakfast was decent, dinner very good although limited options available, nice range of beers and wine though. Overall we thought it was good... More

2 nights is just perfect. You can enjoy a leisurely drive in and stop at some of the walks and view points. Next day do your cruise. Each evening enjoy the sunset and the high quality food. We had a river view lodge. Really good. Comfortable bed heated bathroom floor.

Stayed in riverside chalet and enjoyed it immensely. The chalet by itself, without its world class views, is worth four stars. Upscale with Villeroy and Boch fixtures, comfortable bed and sitting area, and picture windows that let in natural light and magnificent views. Note the pullout bed isn't comfortable, my 25 year old son said. He gave up and slept... More
