The B&B is run by a lovely couple, we had such lively and interesting discussions with them about the affairs of the world. The house is quaint and the house animals add to the country feel. There were 4 cats, 1 dog, 1 goat, 2 sheep and a number of chickens and at least one cockerel (who woke us up...

I stayed with Faye and Geoff back on May 18th while travelling the South Island for about 11 days. Geoff was very welcoming when I had pulled up the driveway and had showed me around. They even had tea waiting for me in my room upon my arrival. Both Faye and Geoff were absolutely lovely and I enjoyed my evening...

Beautiful little house with really friendly people as well as animals! Very nice place to relax at the end of a day. The owners of the B&B are really friendly and happy to give you advice on any of the local activities or special spots you have to see. They also have an adorable dog who is always greeting new...

Even though I arrived very late (11PM), the proprietors were still waiting for me with my key and free wifi info, showed me to my room and even asked me when I would like breakfast served and what would I like to eat. Since I had just finished a long drive and a hectic two days, I was glad to...

Faye & Geoff made me so welcome in their lovely home that I was warmed on the inside from the minute I stepped in the door. I loved my stay here and would go back in a heartbeat! It's a real home from home 😊 This may be a little bit out of town, but it's so beautifully situated in...

This place has a great potential, but in reality is just a tourist trap. Rooms are basically nice looking, but dirt and dust is everywhere. Our blankets and towels were not fresh and washed (there were hairs on them and they were stinking i.e. from pets)! Rooms were very cold - they knew our arrival date and time and didn't...

My daughter enjoyed a wonderful stay here. A lovely welcome following a slightly stressful search for accomodation in Dunedin itself which was full-up. Faye and Geoff are a delightful calm couple who could not have been more helpful. Recommended a restaurant in Dunedin which we liked a lot - with clear driving instructions. Lovely location overlooking beautiful cosy valley -...

I was headed south, touring "by the seat of my pants", looking for a place in the vicinity of the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, and fortunately for me, the Arden Country House came up in a Trip Advisor search. It was already mid-afternoon when I gave a call and I was welcomed kindly from the very first. It was early evening by...

We stayed here for two nights this january and were amazed at how wonderful and friendly Faye and Geoff were! We stayed in the apartment outside of the cottage and found it clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious, and you can watch the peaceful country scenes outside as you eat. It is a little way outside of Dunedin, so I'd...

We had the pleasure of meeting Faye and Geoff during February - really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was beautiful.
