We only stayed one night here. This hidden B&B is great with plenty of space for three adults. We were greeted with fresh baked pastries upon our arrival and could relax in the hot tub. Breakfast was served upstairs and more than we could eat.

Wonderful hosts Mary and Pat showed us what an amazing B&B experience can be. From detailed tips and five star breakfasts to wine and good conversations, this was one of the best lodging experiences we've had!

Myself and boyfriend both work in a 6 star hotel in HKG, I have to say, we are picky people! When we arrived McAuley Glen B&B, a bit hidden but close to what we need to see, easy and handy. Mary greeted us with a big smile, waving to us from far, her warmth just gave me so much energy... More

McAuley Glen Boutique is a lovely place to stay in the Otago peninsula close to all the sea life attractions (albatrosses, blue penguin colony, seals) and tracks. Mary and Patrick were very welcoming, helped with the bookings of trips (in our case: sea life boat trip) and took their time to chat and give useful recommendations on how to spend... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was brilliant. The location at Portobello on the Otago peninsula is perfect if you like being a bit more remote and if you like to walk and see lots of wildlife. There is also a variety of trips seeing wildlife and the peninsula. The breakfast is excellent and can set you up... More

As previous reviewers have pointed out breakfast is an event. Mary and Patrick are the perfect hosts, the bedroom was delightful and well fitted out as was the bathroom, and the gardens are beautiful. Mary gave us loads of helpful advice regarding the local sites to visit. A lovely stay in an exceptional B&B.

We chose Portobello on the Otago Peninsula as a good base for visiting Dunedin and all there is to see on the peninsula itself. Staying at McCauley Glen B&B, with Mary and Patrick, we were not disappointed. Set in beautiful gardens, the B&B has 2 rooms, one that can accommodate up to 4 people and another for 2 people, both... There were two couples who had traveled for a month through New Zealand and were winding down our trip when we hit Dunedin. We had picked this place on the internet because of its location - right on the Otago Peninsula. Man, did we luck out! The rooms are wonderful, the breakfasts unbelievable, the hosts, Mary and Patrick, some of... More

staying at the McAuley Glenn was our first acquaintance with New Zealand. What a warm welcome and hospitality! Our kids loved Mary and Pat. We've enjoyed the rich breakfast every morning and the hot tub in the evening. It is a real good start of visiting New Zealand.
