Excellent B&B. Delightful old world decor. Helpful friendly staff. Great views over the city. Handy to the city centre. Typical climb up fairly steep streets to get to B&B but well worth the short walk for sucb a great venue.

If you want a quaint, homely feel B&B this is a great find, we had an enSuite room with spa bath, which was lovely. The street was very quiet, and walking distance to octogan and centre of town. Breakfast was cereals, fruit, bread and yogurts, good range and plenty of food. We loved th mix and match vintage furniture and... More

We had a great overnight stay here. Lovely old house with lots of character, very warm and quiet. We chose a shared bathroom but no-one else seemed to use it. The breakfast was brilliant, self serve and everything we wanted. Very friendly staff.

Stayed here twice in the same week as we went to Queenstown, easy to drive to and parking is no issue, our room was at street level, clean, well laid out with a heater which the host turned on to warm the room, breakfast was easy and simple, I was not expecting anything so it was nice cereal or toast... Walk just a few minutes to the central Dunedin Octagon, high above yet easily access to all the buzz, this B&B is elegant and affordable for budget travellers, rooms with nice view over the bay and Otago Peninsular, clean, quiet. Friendly staff, include two amorous cats, provide satisfying company.

We spent one night in the brick house part of this complex. The room was adequate, the bathroom was huge and the breakfast was satisfactory. The location was excellent and the fact that there was an off-street parking lot made parking a non-issue.

This is a tastefully restored house with high ceilings and spacious bedrooms. The ensuite bathroom in our room was tiny but well designed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the resident cats are delightful. The location is excellent - only a short downhill walk to the Octagon, where there are cafes, bars and restaurants.

Good location. 5mins from city Centre. It was surprisingly nice and quiet at Hulmes B&B. We were in the floral room w/ shared bathroom. Spacious & Clean. Breakfast was sufficient for us. We're cat lovers so we don't mind the cats. Shower pressure upstairs could do with an upgrade.
