Great place to stay, so close and walking distance to most attractions/shops. Room was spacious and clean. Provided car parking free and wifi. Had dinner in the restaurant which we don't usually do but it was raining so stayed in. The food was very good.

We just turned up hoping to get a room for 2, Staff went out of their way to switch rooms with someone else to accomodate us. Cosy room with king bed and single. Everything we needed.❤️ Coffee and tea making in rooms. Staff very friendly.

The hotel itself is on 5 floors, so one would certainly expect more parking than it has. The reception is small and dingy and the whole lobby is not very welcoming to be honest. The food is pretty average but is about right for the price. The staff are helpful and are happy to go out of their way to... More

We stayed for one night during a roadtrip. I booked a standard double room on the breakfast-included rate. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed except a central light for easy reading, a common problem in hotels these days! Everything worked but it was looking a bit tired and in need of love in places. The... More

I stayed for 2 nights in a standard double room. The hotel is a little older but still very clean tidy and welcoming with everything you need. The staff are very welcoming and the service is good. Breakfast and dinner is available at the hotel but the prices are pretty steep for whet you get. You would get better value... More

Stayed on the 1st floor in standard double rooms. This is an older building and an older hotel. I think the price is good as the towels and bedding were good, rooms are clean and fresh. I found the lighting to be bright enough in our rooms so not sure about previous reviews about dull lighting. We ate in the... More

Stayed one night for business. My room was simple, spacious, the bed comfortable, shower hot and decent towels. Nice to have a view from my window/balcony. Lighting was a little dull, though. I had a warm welcome from Reception at check-in and from the restaurant staff, who were very attentive to all diners. Although I had only one course for... More

Check-in was all fine, allocated a room on the third floor, the lift does sound like it could do with a good service. I had a double room with a very soft bed, which was fine for me. The room was large enough for me with ample storage space. However, at night the room feels dark even with all the... More

Thank you very much for your comments, it is much appreciated. We do have lockable safety deposit bags at reception for valuable items which are then kept in our safe, but the in room safe idea is good. I am pleased you found your stay comfortable and look forward to welcoming you again in future. More

This is a good hotel but my reason for Average is the noise levels between rooms is pretty bad. The staff, rooms, beds and overall ambiance is very good but no matter how quiet people try to be it comes through the walls too easily and if you're light sleeper then you'd have problems. Oh yes if you want to... More

For the price it was ok. The lighting in the room was pathetic thou and the beds are very small meaning the first night of our holiday was spent in separate beds like school camp. The service and staff were very friendly and is nice and central to the city centre

Thanks very much for your feedback. We do have rooms with both Queen and King bed options, it is best to make your reservation direct with the hotel reservations team so you can request one of these rooms so you have a good sleep. Appreciate your comments. More
