We've been there camping in a tent. There was not enough wind shelter, unfortunately. But the location is great, rather facilities are tidy and we'll maintained and that's the important stuff. The staff is helpful and friendly.

This was a fun park with quirky little cabins and dry humour signs. Was quiet enough. Amenities block was close by. Clean and needs an update not too long into the future. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Best value van park we found so far in nz. Really friendly, ample clean amenities, and when you use the resources within the time constraints, the 2.10m guy actually says hello, and doesn't stare at you at all (lol)... Well priced shop at the front to that does burgers, fish etc. Wifi is cheapest and best quality I've seen. Why...

Just stayed in a standard cabin. Like in other Kiwi Holiday Parks... kettle but no tap; no duvet. The tunnel you have to go through when you want to use the comunal toilet is too small - there are also people over 1,90m on the world. Madress sagged. Park looks beautiful but there must be another concept concerning the equipment...

Would have had 4 or 5 stars but for the smokers. I also downgraded the "Service" just to annoy them enough to ban smoking. 5 mins walk to John Wilson Ocean Drive, pedestrian only, along the top of the artificial sand ridge tsunami barrier. Run along this road and the adjacent sports fields or along the beach.

We (a family of two adults and three young children) stayed at this place for twon nights in early December. On our second night, two local folks used a hair pin to break into our cabin at around 2.15am, when we were asleep in the bedrooms. They ran off with all our personal belongings such as passports, cash, cameras, smartphones,...

We had an ensuite studio room. Not the nicest of stays that we have had. We had to ask the reception for some air freshner as there was a stale smoke smell in the room. They came with air gel freshners, which we found very helpful. It turns out the smoke smell was in the pillows and the mattress. The...

Nice holiday park. Right beside beach, small supermarket very close. Lots of nice restaurants not too far away. Very clean units Nice and tidy. Unit had a kitchenette and bathroom Towels usually cost extra even in a self contained unit. :( Wifi was free and unlimited but very very slow, wouldn't load any pages, so ended up using cellular data...

I went here for school camp and I really enjoyed it, nice and clean in a very good location. It has a good play ground and really nice bedrooms although the beds were very uncomfortable and the springs were popping out
