In Dunedin for a sporting weekend, group of 11. Two units , the large family one in particular suited our needs perfectly. Spotlessly clean, cosy, big well equipped kitchen. Everything appears to have been modernised. Great value, we will be back.

Stayed there for two nights. Late check-inn, no problem. Friendly helpful staff. Room? No we had a kitchen/living room with two beds and one level up a separate bedroom. Maybe all a bit outdated, but well maintained, clean and fresh. Coffee and breakfast nearby, takes a 25 minutes walt to the Octagon. Enough free parking.

A last minute booking that was needed as initial plans were thwarted. Pleasant staff interested in ensuring comfort, Great location ,next to botanical gardens, Countdown, second hand book shops . Healthy stroll up hill to Knox college. Importantly this motel is immaculate, bed excellent and towels a plenty. Has prompt taxi support if needed, McDonald's 2 streets over, served up...

Staff helpful and friendly and made changes to accommodate us, rooms good clean bright and north facing, access easy, have stayed in several other Dunedin motels in past but will come back to Commodore next time. Location is to north of most other Dunedin motels but handy to gardens and supermarket and road access to central city is 4-5 minutes...

The motel is right next to the botanic gardens and about a ten minute walk from the university. I had a one bedroom that was clean but a little cramped. Like most motel rooms in NZ, the room had a small kitchenette. There is a grocery store within a 5 minute walk (on the other side of the botanic garden)....

Stayed 4 nights here. Service was excellent. Room clean and bright. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a stress free vacation stay. We left today and left behind 2 baby items which they were so sweet to contact us. We didn't realize that we have left it behind. Now that's great service!

Four of us in 2 bed disabled unit. Spacious enough and could move furniture to suit. Bathroom smelled musty and staff are aware and indicated this needed to be rectified. Linen good, great fridge/freezer combo in kitchen. The real big plus of this place is their staff. Places I've stayed in, no matter the rating, turn into unpleasant places to...

We recently stayed at the Commodore in a two bedroom unit with my daughter and granddaughter. The unit has most things you would need for an overnight stay. The bed was a little hard but warm enough. The decor is pleasant enough but the kitchen and bathroom areas could do with a little updating. Satisfactory for an overnight stay.

Wonderful choice of room for us under stressful circumstances. Friendly staff. Quite, modern and very clean room. Great bed. Personal car park. Handy to hospital, food etc. We will be back! Thanks so much. Only disappointment was my windows were open when I came home at 10:30pm from a very stressful day and the room was freezing!

We stayed here after moving to New Zealand. I can't recommend this motel enough. We were personally greeted by the owner who is an absolutely fantastic man. Our little apartment was just perfect. We had a nice little kitchenette, a bedroom, and a living-room. The room was absolutely spotless when we arrived. They loaned us a high chair for our...
