I had a very nice two-night stay here! I was welcomed warmly and felt very comfortable. The building is beautiful, as was my room. Breakfast was an amazing spread and delicious. The small snacks, tea and fruits were also very welcome.
The location is excellent,...More

Thank you Rikuisu for taking the time to write such a nice review. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Our family of five enjoyed our 2-night stay at this beautiful B&B. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and despite being on a busy street, noise was not an issue at all. We loved the location just a block from the botanical gardens. The breakfast...More

Hi Reilly Family,
many thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review for us.
Regarding the cooked breakfast; yes we do need to change the wording in the Compendium. We do offer a cooked breakfast for $22.00 per head extra. We do...More
What a fab place.
Excellent arrangements for tea, meals and drinks.
Location allows a short walk to the park, and park run on a Saturday, botanic gardens and the centre of Christchurch.

Had a lovely two night stay here recently. The building is just stunning and atmosphere created is very relaxed. It feels more like a very upmarket b&b as opposed to a hotel and definitely had a personal feel about it. We had room 4 which...More

Short answer - no! When we were there we had no fridge in our room. However there was a (large) fridge which everyone could use which had soft drinks which we could help ourselves to during the day at no charge, and there... More
Short answer - no! When we were there we had no fridge in our room. However there was a (large) fridge which everyone could use which had soft drinks which we could help ourselves to during the day at no charge, and there was no problem with putting our own things into the fridge just for us. FYI if it's alcohol you're after then there's a deli very close by next to an excellent cheese shop (local and international cheeses) where we bought some very good South American wine at a reasonable price. And the city centre is within walking distance if you want greater choice food-wise and/or drinks-wise.
