This is the my third hostel in Christchurch in the past couple of months and it is the best by far! I stayed in the main house in a shared room but there are garden rooms as well. The room was very large and a single bed was in each corner of the room. Each bed had a light and... More

It's a small hostel, very personal. The kitchen is well eqipped and we always met friendly people to talk to. The only problem was the bed...it was really uncomfortable. Relating to the price per night (double room), it was okay! On the other side of the road, you can have breakfast in the Herb Café!

Without a doubt, this was the best hostel to stay at in Christchurch. Located in the CBD, but far enough outside of the tourist bits to be quiet. Main Christchurch downtown attractions are, at maximum, a 20-30 min walk away (this includeds the fantastic Botantical Gardens in Hagley Park) Everything is fantastic at this hostel; the service, the facilities, the... There was enough space in the rooms for every backpack, and there was a power socket at each bed. Everything including toilets and showers was clean. And they have a really nice garden where you could relax, eat, drink and chat. Some of the long-term guests were kind of rude, but the staff was nice! It takes about 20 minutes... More

We have stayed in a few different hostels in Christchurch and Foley Towers was by far and away our favourite! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help you in any way they can. It is a very social hostel and the kitchens and common areas are great.

Even though it is not as centrally located as other hostels, this place has a nice charm to it. All the amenities offered, kitchen, common room, etc are nicer than in most NZ hostels I've stayed in. The personnel was extremely friendly and in a good mood all the time.

Very recommendable. Warm welcome, friendly staff. Great location, within walking distance to Chch main places to see. Nice big common areas (indoor and outdoor) and buildings, much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. Clean :)

Wonderful :) Clean. Pretty garden. Helpful staff and not-staff ;) I came in and immediately sat down with the nicest people I've met in a long time. The yard, garden, kitchen and lounge are perfect for getting in contact with other travellers. At 11 pm people go to the lounge or into town so that the garden and dorms are... More
