The wifi here is very bad, only works in a few places in the hostel, so if you work online, this is not the place for you! They have great staff, the rooms are vacuumed and cleaned every day, and your bed sheets will be cleaned every week, they have big kitchens but no blender

Honestly my fav hostel of all times. Checked in for a single night, but the staff and everybody was so nice that i ended up booking another night. After a some time, i realized that i had literally stayed there for 4 weeks, and it was the best time ever! Nice people and lots to do in christchurch. Nice staff and people living there, beautiful garden, clean facilities and loads to do (piano, guitar, board games, slack line, you name it!). When the corona happened i was in the road with a friend in her van 5 hours away from christchurch, but we decided to go to foley towers imediately to stay there during the lockdown. Now we are 4 weeks into lockdown and I have no regres of comming back.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while travelling through Christchurch. They were friendly, relaxed, and accommodating. Check in and staying am extra night was easily handled. There's off street parking on a first come first served. Quiet at night. Good room with an en suite was clean and comfy. Lovely gardens outside the room. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it looked well equipped. Would stay again if back in Christchurch.

This place is pretty great for a hostel. I stayed in a three bed room and there were no bunk beds so that was cool. I loved the outdoor area with the hammocks and I liked the kitchen and lounge areas indoor as well, though I did not spend much time in there. I was shocked when at 2am a man entered my room, but I quickly learned that coed rooms were common in New Zealand. Overall, this is a really comfortable place to stay if you are staying in a hostel. It was also really centrally located and you could follow the river into town.

We stayed in a private room (#13- I mention that because it is the biggest of the private rooms, with an ensuite bathroom, many windows, and sliding doors that lock). The other private rooms are nice but smaller, so opt for #13. The whole place is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, lots of seating areas, tons of kitchen space and food storage. The staff were exceptional, and everything was very clean. I can't remember his name but I want to say Eastern-European guy? Anyway, he was great beginning to end. They have a phone in the reception area to use for your convenience, and the location couldn't be better.
