The location of this motel , opposite Hagley Park and 20 minutes from the airport make this an ideal spot to spend a couple of day coming in or flying out of Christchurch. A walk through the Botanical gardens brings you to an information centre where tickets for the gondola and tram can be bought . The service at the...

This property is perfectly located across the street from the park. It is super clean, well appointed and the owners were very friendly. We did not have a car and walked everywhere. Many restaurants to choose from and many free things to sight see.

Five of us stayed. One bedroom with three singles. Queen bed in the living room/kitchen area. Clean. Well maintained. Near the park. Nothing luxurious. Beds comfortable and in good condition. Some street noise but not really bothersome.

Our family with two young boys found a thorough welcome at this hotel. They accommodated our early arrival, and anticipated what our boys would enjoy (some thoughtful candies and hot chocolate). We also greatly appreciated the complimentary ride to the train station early in the morning for us to catch our train. A homely room, clean, warm and comfortable. And...

The rooms at Argyle on the Park are good. The bedroom is large and the loungeroom/dining/kitchenette has plenty of space. I found the toilet/bathroom area a bit tight but it did not detract from our experience. The host is friendly and happy to help with anything.

The room was spacious and all-inclusive, the provided amenities were perfect, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The location can't be beat: right beside the beautiful city park, near the botanic gardens. Plenty to eat and drink nearby, too! A perfect place to push off on our cycle tour from!

As a regular visitor to Christchurch I always stay at Argyle on The Park. The rooms are clean and well appointed, with SKY TV, and the hosts are warm and friendly. Right across the road from Hagley Park, I also enjoy walking around the beautiful park every morning. Located right in the heart of Christchurch, it is a hard place...

We stayed two nights and found the accommodation just great. Good sitting area, comfy bedroom and full kitchen. Just round the corner to a variety of eating places. It's near Hagley Park which is lovely. And a bonus for us was a complimentary ride to the train station for the TranzAlpine on the morning we left. Lovely people running the...

Location is quick and easy to find from the airport. We arrived late and our flight was further delayed,  but the host was very friendly and accommodating with instructions. Older-style motel,  but very clean and great for a single night stay. 4 star rating for the service, nice welcome to NZ!
