Stayed in Unit 7 in early October - it's a comfortable and clean unit off Papanui Road - with no traffic noise. The unit was clean, spacious and well maintained with everything we wanted. There's unlimited wifi which is always a good thing. It's within walking distance of Merivale Mall and a supermarket and perhaps a 15 minute walk into...

We have stayed in this Motel regularly for a few years now. It was always clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and everything went well, that was up until our last visit. Not sure but think there are relatively new owners. That doesn't excuse the fact that when we booked in the heater wasn't working. Winter in Christchurch is no fun, you...

I booked the Diplomat purely because of its location, being close to St Georges hospital (700m down the road). Surprised with how big the studio unit was. Unit was clean, super comfy bed, Freeview tv and fully equipped kitchen. My only negative comment was the road noise....I stayed in unit # 3 which is relatively close to the road and...

I booked due to positive reviews but was disappointed with my stay. The key was super hard to work. The bed was very soft. The soap and shampoo were out in the bathroom. The cold tap made a horrendous noise. Light bulbs had blown. When I mentioned all of these at the front desk, the response was "It's an old...

We stayed here for 3 nights during a very warm spell. The pool was a welcome assett. Our room was clean, comfortable and roomy. I would happily stay here again. They also sent my phone charger I carelessly left behind - thanks.

We stayed in #13 2 bedroom unit, good layout and plenty of space for our wee family. Only problem would have been the condition of the spa, has a few cracks and the bubbles didnt work, a little TLC in this area would be recommended, Wifi was very hard to stay connected to

Good location, more than adequate for a couple of nights stay. Although not in the centre of Christchurch, there are a few bars and an Italian restaurant within walking distance. Friendly owners, very accommodating.

We planned an overnight stay only in Christchurch as we made our way south with boys aged 5, 3 and 8 months but due to a really bad forecast down south changed plans to a 4 night stop. The owners have just changed and the current management will be retiring. This is a huge loss as the husband and wife...

We often stay in this motel when we visit family in Christchurch ! Clean and spacious with very comfortable beds! We always get the two adjoining rooms so our teenage boys have their own space! Very reasonable rates ! Walking distance to Merivale! My one criticism would be low pressure showers !
