We stayed for one night at the end of our trip in the attic room. Although the family have access to the hallway between the room and its bathroom we didn't find this to be a problem and we felt that we had sufficient privacy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The B&B is pretty informal - it's very much a... More

A great B&B in a beautiful neighbourhood . The beds slept great and even had an electric blanket! The bathroom was also very nice, there was even floorheating. The shampoo smelled good. And the breakfast was delicious. Especially the fresh made waffle with banana and maple syrup. The owners are very nice and helpful people. It was unfortunate that we... More

Very charming bead and breakfast with cozy amenities. The bathroom floor is heated and offers plenty of cozy touches. The host are great as well. They were very friendly and helpful to us, giving us recommendations and advice. The breakfast is also very good.

Sadly we spent only one night at this friendly, comfortable and spotlessly clean B&B. As with the rest of our 2 week whistle-stop tour of NZ's fabulous South Island there was just not enough time for more! This was a lovely place to spend our last night in your beautiful country. We would thoroughly recommend this B&B and will certainly... More

We stayed in the Garden Room. This was not particularly spacious but was clean and nicely decorated in keeping with the Victorian boutique style of the rest of the house. The bathroom was adjacent rather than en suite but was enormous! The house had lovely gardens and we had a very pleasant breakfast. Parking is on-street but plentiful.

Our bed in the "attic" was very comfortable and ensuite bathroom modern and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful. Home has fun pieces and was delightful to enjoy. Some restaurants close by. A very enjoyable stay.

We booked the garden room for the first two nights of our 3 week holiday to the South Island of New Zealand and requested the use of two bikes over our stay. The whole house is beautiful and as we left two golden retrievers at home it was a joy to see their lovely dog. We used the bikes to... More

We were sold on this B & B as soon as we saw the pictures. We were not disappointed upon arrival as the grounds and house lived up to our high expectations. We traveled with another couple and booked the Mulberry and Attic room. Both couples were very satisfied with our rooms and had a wonderful night's sleep in the... More

This was our first night in New Zealand and it was such a find to be staying at the lilac rose which looks exactly as it does on the photographs. A beautifully decorated home with one of the highlights being sitting in the garden with Maddie the golden retriever, and just enjoying the surroundings. Comfy attic room, friendly hosts and... We had a short visit but the owners were very helpful with suggestions for transport, dinner locations, calling cabs etc. It was a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere in a lovely old house with a beautiful garden.
