Terra Vive is a very good, 'honest' Motel, with well appointed, very comfortable suites, everything you need in them, and on site parking... We stopped there twice on our travels! Check-in & out were dead easy, and Brian was happy to 'hold' our luggage while we went into the city prior to our airport transfer. It's also very well positioned,...

This is a small place with just a few rooms but we love the personal touch of having Brian (the owner) on premises. The shower was fantastic, perfect after a long trip. Location is good, just outside of downtown. The room was a bit warm and like most places we stayed there is no a/c. No worries we left the...

We loved our ground floor unit which was knitted out for someone with disabilities. It was reasonably spacious, and had its own washer and drier, with powder provided, which we hadn't come across anywhere else. The welcome pack was a nice touch. The manager was very friendly, showed us to the unit, lent us an adaptor, and DVDs with player...

Quick check in, room was well organized, separate bedroom, whirlpool tub, comfortable bed. Washer and dryer worked great. Close to everything. Would have liked a few more channels on the television as competitors are advertising 50 plus channels to our about 20.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on the first floor and on the whole really enjoyed it. There were a couple of negatives: There was no a/c which meant in order to sleep we had to have the balcony door open - not something we were very comfortable with in a strange city. Not sure what we would...

We stayed 1 night in this accomondation. Clean well equiped appartments. When checking in you get a small basket with some treats. Bed is comfortable. Laundry facilities are in the room. Bathroom is simple, only a shower which we prefer. Because there was no protection by a curtain or glasswall the floor gets very wet & slippery. A wiper would...

Stayed for a night on the way to Mount Cook. Had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Living room and dining area are in the same space so it can be a little cramped. Kitchenette and washer/dryer built in. 10 minutes drive to South City Mall, 2 minutes walk to Thai Container, a takeaway place serving decent Thai...

This is more of a luxury motel than a hotel. Stayed in a one bed suite. It's good enough for a single person or a couple, not for families. Bathroom and Kitchen have the exact same tiles which I felt was gross. Service is basic.

This property is a great hotel near the centre of Christchurch. A great room with a king bed and good facilities. Very clean and well presented room which includes a small balcony with table and chairs. Road noise was not a problem. Overall a great property for a short term two night stay.

stayed the 13th November night of the earthquake. Manager was fantastic. Up straight away guiding and checking on us all. He went to all rooms to assess safety. Friendly place and very comfortable. We are staying again in 2 weeks and looking forward to our basket of goodies.
