We stayed in the smaller of the areas which are let out and it was perfect. Quality just screams out as soon as you enter. Zarli was welcoming and helpful and everything was clearly explained. Yes it is up a hill from the city but the location is wonderful. It is peaceful but only 10 mins walk from the street... More

During our tour of New Zealand we stayed for two nights in the Garden Suite of this delightful Bed and Breakfast. We were greeted by Zarli upon our arrival and his help with the luggage was very much appreciated as were his useful hints and tips about seeing the sights of Wellington. It was immediately apparent that we had chosen... More

Along with hoards of other people, we descended on Wellington for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We were fortunate enough to secure a booking at this centrally located B and B in their Garden Suite due to booking months in advance. Zarli greeted us on arrival and helped with baggage up a few steep stairs which opened up on to a... More

We recently had a 3-night stay in Wellington, our 3rd time to the city, and have finally found the perfect lodging!! Austinvilla offers every convenience a traveler needs in a beautifully-appointed but also logical and user-friendly self-contained apartment. It is in a well-located pleasant neighborhood within easy walking distance to all areas of downtown, and also included off-street parking. We... More

Stayed on the lower level of this restored home close to downtown and Mt.Victoria. A pretty place with a wonderful view. Nice patio and small garden to relax. The owner (Zarlie) was friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was wonderful (fruit, cheese, yogurt, jam, rolls and excellent coffee). A comfortable and very clean mini-apartment. Had dinner at the Ortega Fish Shack... More

We had a fantastic stay in the Studio Suite at Austinvilla Bed and Breakfast. The apartment was beautifully decorated and designed with a lot of thought and care, e.g. complimentary travel plug/adaptor for oversea guests. The location of the B&B is a perfect walking distance into the central part of the city, with plenty of nearby restaurants for an evening... More

We stayed for two nights in the Garden suite, so relaxing and tastefully done, with everything you would need. Zarli was very helpful, provided a lovely breakfast the night before, giving us flexibility. Laundry facilities were excellent, a huge help. Fruit and chocolate on arrival and quality toiletries made it feel special. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Central location within easy reach of waterfront but up a steep hill in case you are not mobile, which we are. Restaurants and cafés on the hill. Comfortable and roomy. Hospitable and helpful hosts. Generous continental breakfast. Loved the location and character of the house. Recommended.
