We wanted a reasonably-priced and easily accessible place to stay in during our one-week visit to Wellington. It also had to be within walking distance to our daughter's apartment and to other tourist attractions. Southern Cross Serviced Apartments more than met all our requirements. We had a delightful and very comfortable stay and would definitely book here the next time... More

Stayed for 3 nights as tourists in Wellington. The apartment was adequate and achieved what we wanted, albeit somewhat impersonal (I did feel a bit like a student dorm style). We arrived late and the key was in the box as instructed so that was easy. I'd read a few reviews commenting on the noise from the bar below at... More

Rooms clean and everything you need for short stay. Rooms freshly painted but as expected an old building a few blocks from te papa but short walk to Cuba mall. We were on 5 th floor and end of long corridor and the gap under entry door allowed other rooms cooking smells into our room which wasn't so good. Greeted... More

First time at this location, two streets from the action of Cuba St , close to Uni and only 12 mins from the airport. Comfortable clean rooms with reasonable but industrial views over Wellington city to the water.Only Queen bed but also a single for those restless sleepers.Good quality beds.No reception after business hours but easy to gain access with... Southern Cross Apartments provided good accomodation close to Wellington city centre. The location was just off the top of Cuba Street and was very close to its many and varied eating places -although the cooking facilities in the rooms we had for our family were also sufficient. Our room was a bit noisy due to the early morning construction going... More

Unit not clean - had to ask receptionist to clean blinds as they were filthy. NO car parking - seriously! Had to park on the street and pay city parking rates. Busy streets so had to park next block up and carry bags back and forth. Kitchen extremely tiny and old and not up to scratch. Unit very small. Located... More

We stayed in this apartment during a very busy weekend in Wellington. The location is good, close to all that is wonderful about Cuba Street, and the service was great. The apartment was clean and just large enough, but the noise from the restaurant/bar below was a problem until well after midnight.

I've stayed at these apartments a few times on various occasions and will continue to come back mainly because of the prime location and wheelchair access also good value for money and very clean. There is free wifi and the heater provided keeps the room nice and toasty. The downsides are that it's right above a bar which can get... More

Pros: very convenient, functional apartments. Clean, well maintained. Cons: Terrible and stingy wifi (you get given one week's access, even if you're staying for a month. So slow it won't load Web pages in the evening). Rooms are either boiling hot or cold - no heating or air con, people leave their room doors open even in autumn to try... More
