The hotel is well located in the city, but is of poor quality. It displays the Mercure livery, and appears to be an annexe to the main Mercure in Wellington, however there doesn't appear to be an practical connection such as use of the main...More
Overall an enjoyable 2 nights at the Mercure Abel Tasman. The rooms were good quality recently refurbished and the location in the centre of Wellington is ideal for getting around. There is hotel parking available so the car can be parked securely. This does cost...More

Avis Dixon st to the hotel is about 500m, there will be a million taxis around and it should be about $5-7. To get to the ferry terminal, first check which company your ferry is (there are 2 and they leave from different locations), you will need a taxi its 2-4km to the ferry depending which one you're on. While you're there at the hotel, be careful of blood stains on the pillows and linen, see me review. Hopefully they have improved since then.
