I made a reservation at the brand new Sofitel Wellington. The hotel restaurant caught fire in advance and only 4 days before check in I was informed by email that my reservation was transferred to this hotel. This displeased me a lot, but in the face of what happened and as we were at the peak of the season I...

I stayed at the Bolton Hotel for a couple of nights - after turning up at the Sofitel across the road and finding that it was closed due to a fire. The staff at Bolton hotel were very helpful and were able to find me a room. I stayed in a suite which had a separate dining room and bedroom....

Large room or rather suite. No desk but a large round table. Beds were comfortable. Close to full kitchen. It was also great to have a washer and dryer at the halfway point of our trip. Has lots of outlets for recharging. Now the negative. Air conditioning was broken which made our west facing room an oven. Front desk supplied...

The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful from the first moment. The room that we had was generous and perfect for our needs. The only fault that I could pin point was the lack of a universal electrical socket. In fairness, a common failing.

Awesome service from the staff from the outset, great setup in rooms with iPad mini for info etc and free wifi. Rooms are on the petite side but modern and comfortable. Great location and easily accessible to city locations.

We stayed 3 days. The staff were friendly and helpful. The king bed was 2 beds pushed together which was comfortable enough. We didn't like that the rooms were cleaned around 4 pm most days only because we had a wedding one day and another day had walked for 5 hours and wanted to relax. Questionable 5 star rating really....

We stayed here based on Tripdvisor reviews.. the place is just nice. They had a free-drink happy hour for all in-house guests which was a nice touch. The staff was very helpful & efficient. The rooms were comfortable - we stayed in a 1-bedroom suite.. but the breakfast was very sub-standard & pricey to boot. Fantastic location.. just a few...

Got a wonderful mystery hotel from wotif for a couple of couples. Ended up staying in the studios that were available. Perfectly fine. Nice room, nice amenities, nice staff. Spa and pool area needed a slight upgrade, but adequate. Loved the free happy hour down in the lounge bar. I would love to stay again.

Rooms and lobby and very nice, and hotel staff are fantastic. The gym is very small with limited equipment. The pool area is OK, but the hot tub is very small and cheap (looks like a budget backyard hot tub). Not sure if this was normal, but there it was a windy night and the room was quite loud with...

Quite a surprise. Located away from the harbour, at the foot of the ridge that surrounds Wellington, opposite the Sofitel, adjacent to the Reserve Bank. This place is wonderful. A 3min walk to Lambton Quay. Our 2br apartment was better than home. Large, clean, well appointed, good kitchen, washing machine, large bathrooms, good loungeroom, new carpet. Room's tops. The dining...
