We stayed in the family unit and for $184 was way overpriced for what we got. On the positive side they are building new units but that is about it. Rooms were clean but missing essential items like hair dryer. Shower was pathetic and was only 5 ft tall. Did the job for one night but wouldn't stay again until... More

The Motel is just off the motorway(10 minutes from Lambton Quia), updated presently but finished in October '16, well run and economical accomodation in such choice location and without getting lost in the traffic chaos of the city itself.

We stayed at Newlands Court Motel before and after taking the ferry over, location was handy but the room was dirty with a stained carpet and dirty underwear(!) and rubbish under the beds, and human hair in the sheets. Some lights and TV remote were not working. We had one dog stay in the room, he slept on his own... More

To start with it appeared that our booking had not been processed (although paid for). We were then put into a room with 1 double, and 2 singles. The bloke came and put an extra bed up in the lounge. Not all the light bulbs and electric blankets were working, and blankets were very light. While we were there there... More

Stayed here after a long drive with my two cockatiels. Small birds in cages that don't make any "messes" outside of their cage and yet charged $40 extra for the two of them. Had to beg for a downstairs unit (all the pet ones are upstairs) as carrying their cages upstairs was too much after a very long day. TV... More

One night stopover in studio unit for early morning Cook Strait ferry crossing. Motel looking a bit tired and shabby both outside and inside. Unit was clean but no kitchen sink, only plastic basin to wash dishes. Not much crockery or cutlery. Unit was quiet except for under flight path of planes landing at Wellington during night. We believe motel... More

One night stay on our way to the South Island. This motel is ideal as it is only minutes to the ferry, even at peak times. It was clean and tidy with plenty of space, and a very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff.

We were a group of eight plus a dog and managed to split across just two family rooms (twin beds in the bedroom and double bed in the living room) at this motel. The rooms are clean and modern with lots of facilities - big fridge / freezer, microwave and other kitchen equipment. We didn't make much use of it... More

We stayed here as we were getting the ferry the next day. It is nice and close to the highway and a short drive to the ferries. Stayed here as most hotels in wellington were very expensive and this one was a little cheaper. Clean and cosy, but a bit dated. Rooms need a makeover but it is what it... More
