it was very easy to book at the Youth Hostel and very comfy. the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I was late back (after closing) and it was easy to get in after hours too! I was simply staying in town afrer a function as I live a long way away and it was perfect for that.

Helpful staff, clean and friendly YHA. Excellent location with a conveniently placed supermarket on the other side of the road making it ideal for a school trip which was the point of our trip to Wellington. Access to all the local tourist attractions is very convenient, all in all an awesome place to stay.

Stayed here twice on our way in and out of Wellington. When we checked in late at night the room key making machine was broken so we were unable to get a room key (night attendant was able to let us in with the master key) so my husband and I had to wait for each other to use the...

This one of the first hostels I've stayed in. The location was great. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. The laundry room was nice and affordable. I only stayed one night, but wish I could've stayed longer.

This place goes above and beyond. The female dorm room was super clean, and had its own bathroom. (Also, they didn't charge extra for an all-female dorm like other hostels, which quite frankly I find ridiculous.) The beds were comfy, the linens were nice, the laundry room was excellent, and the facilities in general were abundant. Also, the people working...

Regular YHA user and world backpacker here: PROS Good location, in front of supermarket Generally clean, updated facilities Huge dining area Friendly staff where you can book activities CONS Overpriced for what it is, almost at par with a hotel rate They should install a camera near the fridge to avoid food theft

This is one of the nicest hostels that I have stayed in. The dorm room where I stayed had a view overlooking the harbor. Initially I only saw only 2 electrical outlets in the room (I think it was a 3-person room although it may have been 4) and thought that was bad as everyone travels with a laptop and/or...

I didn't really enjoy my stay here. Can't quite put my finger on it, but just didn't like the atmosphere. Mainly due to other visitors (i realise this can change). The rooms were ok and staff were fine. The kitchen was not very clean and found some very mouldy cakes in the fridge. Yuk! Good location however.
