Great location but as for the food and room service do not bother. The staff are a bit intimidating if you complain. On ordering room service late evening paper cups were sent up. I would not stay again.

I booked a Club room at Amora for the last leg of our trip. My intentions were that they'd be nice and comfortable and we could spend some lazy, well rested days before going back home. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Another reviewer has mentioned (over a span of 5 years it seems) that the club rooms are very creaky... More

While the tv has many channels, none are closed captioned. Your next option, streaming on the Internet with captiond, almost impossible. Very very slow internet. Frustrating. This is not a handicapped friendly hotel. Other hotel features, time for another refurb. There were cracks in the walls, earthquake damage? Breakfast decent.

The restaurant lacks on a lot of front 1) Firstly the food wasn’t the best. I got a lot of complaints from the friends about the portions of mains being too small for some of the items. I also got a lot of complaints about the Vegetarian paella which everyone said was just a disaster. 2) The drinks menu was... More

Perfect spot in the center of all, right near Te Papa, restaurants on Cuba Street (I think that was the street with lots of good restaurants?), farmers' market (Sunday morning), waterfront. Plus great staff and nice breakfast. Treat yourself.

Booked at Amora for long weekend of R&R. Great location, easy walk from Manners Street Airport Bus stop. Minutes from Te Papa, cinemas and awesome eateries like Monsoon Poon and Chow Tory Street. Hotel looks great, classy foyer. Able to drop off bags very early. Told we would be texted when room was ready but this never happened. Also organised... More

We stayed overnight for a concert at the Michael Fowler Centre as it is only just across the road, and it was an inspired decision. The room was clean and tidy and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The deal we had included breakfast which was valued at $32 each, so for a night stay at $80 it... More

Stayed for one night prior to our ferry crossing. Arrived late afternoon following a long drive from Turangi. Parking is $35 NZ/night, but that is typical to any large city. Free wifi. Room was clean, large and overlooked harbor. For us, great location as easy walk to the Te Papa museum, gas station on corner so we could easily fuel... More

I stayed at the Amora Hotel Wellington from the 13th to 16th November. It was my second visit to Wellington and my hotel of choice in the New Zealand capital. On early Monday morning 14th the city was rocked by a serious earthquake magnitude 7.5. I was very disorientated and frightened. I couldn't stand up because the whole property was... More
