I don't nomrally stay at backpackers, but accommodation was tight over ANZAC weekend. I stayed in a double room with shared facilities. The facilties were shared with just 2 other rooms and included a small kitchen (which I didn't use but I did see a microwave and toaster) The good points: - located opposite the railway station and Intercity bus...

I stayed at Hotel Waterloo and Backpackers twice. The first time was just an overnight stay to catch the early ferry to Picton the next day. I stayed two nights again in February. The dorm I have booked was overbooked (someone didn't checked out and didn't tell the hotel staff), so I luckily got an upgrade for one night and...

I understand that hostel accommodation is budgeted. However, this place was run down, paint was chipping off the walls etc, single glazing mouldy windows. The shared bathroom was dirty and mouldy, the walls are so thin we could hear the couple in the next room along having sex, then hear them using the loo (gross). To top it all off,...

For 2 people this is a great place to stay, its cheap the beds are comfy, the rooms are a good size with a sink in, in our room a shared toilet between 2 rooms plus others... The kitchen is well equipped with appliances... Close to all day parking near west pack stadium, 10 dollars for 12hours

Stayed here for 3 nights in the dorm room. The kitchen is great and the walk in fridge is a plus cause you can be sure that there's space for your food. Staffs are friendly too. The backpacker is located opposite the train station and the bus stop for the manabus and nakedbus is just outside McDonalds which is next...

It's located close to the train station which is also where the shuttle from the interislander ferry drops you off. The Mana bus also goes from just down from it which is handy. The room was okay but the WiFi wouldn't work but there's free public WiFi if you sit outside near the train station anyway.

Location is not so great, everything closed down by 5pm, this is located in a business district of the city. Kitchen is very spacious. Room wasn't too bad, pretty sure there was black mold on the ceiling though. Toilet randomlly would go off. You get what you pay for with this hostel. Try checking a different part of the city...

The buiding is an old and rusty building, the rooms are small as are the bathrooms, and the bar/ dining room have a gloomy air, but are also sort of charming. It's really close to the ferry so that's a plus, but nos really close to the city. You'll get what you pay for!
