We stayed in the triple single room (with twin bunk beds and a separate twin bed) and were very comfortable. The shared bathroom situation was very workable—special thanks to the staff for the cozy bathrobes provided! The Gourmet Stay staff were all very friendly and I appreciated their willingness to help when we had to rearrange our travel plans because... More

My friend and I stayed here and for the price I thought it would have been better for the money, it was very no thrills to be honest, I was expecting much much more bang for your buck. It was clean however, beds fairly hard but ok stay.

We stayed just one night in the one bedroom acco with ensuite. We had a very energetic and very loveable welcome by Kenzie (more on that later). The host who stays on the property was very warm and pleasant. Although very close to CBD, the property is tucked away in a quiet side street. A 5 minute walking distance is... More

We stayed for 5 nights & had a bedroom with en-suite. The hotel is small, compact but in close walking distance ( 10 minutes) of a number of Wellington's attraction & restaurants. The room is "Paris" like but adequate. The breakfast is very good with a range of options & fresh fruit.Management is very friendly & helpful, especially for the overseas... More

Very nice place to stay. Comfortable. Excellent people running it. Thank you so much for a great stay. Would happily book another stay next time I come to NZ. Highly recommended if you are ok with sharing the bathroom with other two rooms of civilized people from all over the world. No complaints. Just great.

My wife and I stayed for two nights on two occasions during our tour of NZ in October 2016. The first time, we stayed in room 5 on the right hand side of the premises. If you don't have a lot of luggage, it would be quite comfy for a couple - unfortunately we had a lot of luggage so... More

Gourmet stay was a lovely place. The expectations my friends and I had were greatly exceeded! The breakfast was really good. Fresh scones, nice bread and croissants were our highlights. The staff were lovely and really accomodating. The room was clean and tidy. All beds had fresh clean, white linen. We loved getting a robe each and toiletries. All of... More

A great place to be central to Wellington, yet feel like you are in Europe. Quiet, private rooms, brilliant staff and service. Having the space to hang out and spend time with friends unhindered by the city amazing. Would happily return again.
