We enjoyed staying Leisha. She is from Holland and a pleasure to be with. We fell in love with her and took her out to dinner one night. When they say a home stay, it is like being at home. The breakfast was great as was her company. Leisha added to our fantastic trip, and she made it possible. This... More

We stayed 2 nights at this place. Leisha "welcomed" us and our 4 yo child after 6 hour car travelling with "don't touch this"-rudeness. After grabbing the steeringwheel of our car from outside during parking we flew out for dinner. Next morning we were 9.20am at breakfast, but instead of "good morning" she was sitting angry in the kitchen yelling... More

Stayed 3 nights 5pax worst B&B in 21 days in New Zealand. Leisha grabbed the steering of our rented car while trying to park at her tight parking space. Warned us not to drag our bags on her white carpet!Breakfast was mediocre, instant croissant, plain bread, boiled eggs, thin pancakes. She rationed her food accurately. The same cut fruits were served and... More

We have got a warm welcome when we arrived. Our hostess was Dutch so we had a lot to talk about. The room was cosy and clean, with everything we needed. A splendid view at the sea. The breakfast was excellent. Our hostess gave us good information about the interesting things we should go to see. We walked to the... More

My wife and I recently spent two weeks driving around the north island of New Zealand, and booked two nights Homestay at Evans Bay based upon internet information. When we arrived as guests during the early part of May, 2013, the home was everthing advertised. A beautiful view and comfortable surroundings. Leisha was a fantastic host. She suggested places for... More

Being welcomed by Leisha (Liesje) is already special. She gave us immidiately this feel at home feeling and after showing us our room with a nice bay view, we where spoiled with beer and wine nibbles and very nice stories from here and also an other guest. After a good night sleep we were invited for an excellent breakfast and... More

We we're welcomed by Liesje with a delicious choice of small snacks and a glass of wine. We had a very nice chat and exchanged some of the stories of our lives. Liesje still speaks Dutch very well and during the two days of our stay we had some good concersations, easily switching between languages. She was most hospitable and... More

Fantastic view of the bay from our bedroom! It's a very nice home in a nice area located in about the middle between the airport and Wellington's city center. Leisha was a gracious and courteous hostess. She loves to talk, and she has an interesting life history, coming with her parents from Holland to settle in New Zealand. Something she... More

Being unfamiliar with Wellington at first we were looking for a bed and breakfast close to the ferry. But after making inquiries, Leisha's warmth came through in emails and the deal was done. A beautiful, quiet place with lots of light and fresh air, it is a very easy drive to the downtown action and to the ferry. I watched... More

We knocked at Leisha's door, dishevelled in our shorts and jandals after the ferry crossing from Picton. She greeted us like long lost family and took us up to our lovely, spacious room with a wonderful view over the harbour. Tea, coffee, milo, cute little biscuits, chocolates and mints were provided with beautiful antique (I think) tea cups and saucers.... More
