Just stayed here for four days and had a wonderful time. The holiday park is well run, easy to locate and central to Omokoroa and Tauranga. Having the Fresh Choice supermarket just across the driveway is superb and makes dinner and lunch super easy. We stayed in the three bedroom motel unit. It was spacious, clean, warm and had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. The natural spring hot pools onsite were awesome for small kids and perfect for the school holidays. They were very clean as they drain each night and refill in the mornings. The kids enjoyed the onsite playground and mingling with all the other children from other cabins. While we were down there we visited Te Puna quarry gardens, the omokoroa peninsula beach and walked around Mt Maunganui. I recommend it as a relaxing place to stay. They have a wide range of options to suit all budgets and lots of activities to entertain you while you are there. It’s the sort of place where you can park up and have a great few days walking around and exploring what is on offer.

The park was very clean and reasonably well run. It was opposite Fresh Choice (the only supermarket in Omokoroa) and a cafe and a pizza place so fairly handy. The heated pools would certainly add to the attraction of the park during cooler months, but because we stayed during summer, it was too hot to use. The price for self contained units however was on par with motels, but arguably not as spacious. Omokoroa is a fair way out of town so if most things you want to do is in Tauranga then this location might not work that well.

We hired the retro two bedroom cottage for two night - three children and two adults. the cottage was well equipped, clean, comfortable and we loved the decor! Excellent location close to supermarket also! It's a wee way from the beach and marina but not far to drive. The pool was welcome, but a bit poky and crowded. I think the opening hours should be extended in the evening, as we missed out on a soak on the Saturday night as we weren't home by 9.30pm. 10.30pm pool closing would be better in summer time. One thing however, the expectation was that we should clean the kitchen and do all of our own dishes, but seeing we'd paid $500 for two nights, we thought that was a bit 'off'. If the rate had been more realistic, I would have been more than happy to do dishes. The room rate was probably a bit high. Wifi was terrible. Overall, I would recommend as a quiet nice place if you're in the Tauranga region.
