I never really use TripAdvisor but the night before arriving at Bell Lodge I was bored and surfing the Internet and checked out their reviews on here! Honestly it nearly put me off going there and I almost changed my plans...I'm glad I never! Tauranga is a great place to spend a few months with lovely beaches not far, at... More

I always miss the time while we are living there, and hope to go back to visit... More

I spent 2-3 months at Bell Lodge in 2006, my travelling friends were kiwi picking and I was a man of leisure; not needing to work, so spending my days around Bell Lodge and the surrounding area. In my time, I stayed in 3 different dorms, all of which were well equipped and more importantly, clean and tidy. Spending time... More

At the moment of arrival we checked in at the reception where the first impression was bad after we spoke for one second to the owner She didnt seem to be enjoying her job and every question... But it was peak of the kiwi fruit season so I guess it wasn't very difficult. The rest in this place is like a nightmare. Dirty sheet and pilow cases. Smell of cigaretes in... More
