Great Lake Taupo Holiday Park is situated only 3 km's (5 minutes) from the town centre and is set in 5 acres of sheltered parklike grounds, surrounded by 3000 acres of farmland. Lake access and northern boat ramps are 1.5 km down the road. We offer a variety of quality affordable accommodation including 1, 2 & 3 bedroom self contained units, deluxe and standard cabins, large powered campervan and non powered tent sites. Park facilities include communal camp kitchen, toilets and showers, guest laundry, children's playground, trampolines, games room, free WiFi, free gas barbeques and tour and activity bookings.Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our Holiday Park along with lake views and warm, friendly hospitality.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the Deluxe cabins. The cabin had its own toilet, a fridge, microwave, electric jug, plates/cuttlery etc, a table with chairs and bed (we supplied our own bedding and towels -although these are also able to be hired), with a sofa bed also, and tv. We used the shared shower facilities and shared kitchen for washing dishes.
We found the room very warm and cosy, well laid out with everything we needed.
There was some noise from the cabin that was joint with ours - but this was not overly bothersome.
All the facilities were very clean, and the grounds well kept. We found the communication and confirmation of booking easy. And the price was good. The holiday park is very close to town but considerably cheaper.
We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was exceptionally clean. There was lots of attention to detail with how the cabins were set up which made the stay very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a budget friendly place in Taupō. Staff were also friendly.

We came with our holiday camper and were allocated a beautiful spacious spot with a picnic table next to it by some stunning old trees. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and even offered us a couple of free feijoas from the campground hedges or some apples. We felt truly welcomed.
The site is extremely well-run, clean and tidy yet not stuffy.
The showers are hot and powerful.

Poor quality camp grounds, rough gravel travel vehicle lanes (not roads). Sloping sites with rough surfaces, mostly mottley grasses areas which weren't moved. Random tree planting so sites not always defined which made watching large RVs hit them entertaining. Poor internet signal and slow buffering of live computer reception. Cooking, dining areas very clean and tidy, minute 3 seater lounge/tv room but tidy. Ablutions blok might be 50+ years old but kept clean & tidy. Friendly helpful staff. Camp on a very busy and noisy road so don't expect peace and quiet. Camp was well over priced for what it offered. We booked for 12 days but left after 9 nights as things were not up to the quality of all the other Lake Taupo camping grounds. Very poor/low value for money.

Pretty poor service. Absolutely strict on their minimum 5 day summer holiday stay rule. Despite booking a month and a half before arrival and wanting to cancel several days after making the booking because of work commitments not allowing me to stay the full five days they refused to provide a refund despite admitting that it was their busy season and had high demand. They definitely put money ahead of service. Very average facilities but they were at least clean. The place had a funny smell, not sure what it was…

We had 2 powered sites, they were a great size with water also.
We stayed over the Supercars Weekend (to attend the racing) and while it was very busy, the facilities were alway clean and tidy.
Our host and the team were always friendly with smiles.

Never seen a campsite with such clean facilities,those little touches make so much difference.
The cloths in the bathroom to clean up after yourself,the flowers on the table in the kitchen,the worktops were spotless.

Great Camp .... NIce staff, However the worst showers I have ever experienced anywhere .... Far too hot and when cold is added, no water flows, VERY dangerous!! .... then in the evening there was no hot water for dishes? ... I intended to tell the staff, but the office was not open when we left

We enjoyed our stay. Lovely park. The wind got up on the first night...our awning decided to come unpegged at 3am so was out fixing it. Second night as very calm. Beautiful day the next day so went to the Lake and shops. Amenities at the park were clean and tidy. Shower was lovely and warm. Kitchen was great and clean. Will be coming back again to stay 😊
