All facilities elegant. Lovely bathrooms (heated floor, yeh!) , towels, robes. Fresh flowers each day from the garden outside the windows. And the perfect host. Gabrielle provides all you might need, makes way for comings and goings and serves up a lovely breakfast. Two lounges, hundreds of videos, a perfect stay with a host who knows what makes for pleasing... More

We spent five nights at Airlie House in September and the overall experience could not have been better. Our front room was spacious and well appointed; the bay window perfect for an afternoon read in the sun; the super King bed very comfortable and roomy. A separate shared lounge room and TV room (with 100's of DVD's) makes you feel... More

This beautiful B&B was our home for a weekend and is the epitome of character and charm. Gabrielle is a delightful hostess with tons of local knowledge and a genuine interest in making your stay an experience to remember. Our accommodation was modern, welcoming and every detail has been thoughtfully prepared for the weary traveller. A breakfast of cereal, fruit... More

Gabrielle was a fantastic host and advised us of places to visit and eat. (Would recommend Siam Thai Fusion Cuisine on Devon Street). Our room was perfect and there were two additional rooms to use at our leisure if we wanted to with complimentary drinks and snacks. The 110 year old house was beautifully decorated and very central to the... More

It is rather difficult to write a rewiew on Airlie House for the simple reason that everything is perfect. Reception, location, advice, breakfast, this is the perfect bed and breakfast, congratulations!

We received a very warm welcome from Gabrielle, the owner of this wonderful B&B. The fridge contained 2 beers and a bottle of white wine in addition to the normal milk. There was also a bottle of red wine. These touches are really welcome and show the generosity of Gabrielle. The room and bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was large... More

Gabrielle was the perfect hostess. Inspite of being located on a major road, we were not disturbed at all by the traffic. Restaurants, shops, and coastal walkway were all within walking distance. The valuable parking area was a distinct advantage. Breakfast was top quality with all tastes catered for. We had a spacious room, but with a rather compact bathroom.

Recently spent two nights in this amazing place, which felt more like home than a B and B. Gabrielle is so welcoming and helpful with ideas of things to do and places to eat in lovely New Plymouth. The rooms are comfortable, clean with little extras like biscuits, free Wi-Fi and a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. A short... More

Lovely room, well planned and very generous resources - wine, bottled water, biscuits etc. breakfast was incredible, set us up for the day. Location is slightly awkward in New Plymouths one way system, but easy once you get a grip on it. Parking easy, and nice to have your own keys to come and go at will. Just a short... More

I stayed 2 nights on 2 separate occasions. It's such an awesome place - the accomodation, cleanliness, breakfast, location and all the little extras. It's really beautiful and I highly recommend it. Really close to the centre and the coastal walk
