The concierge was lovely when checking in although once I saw the room I wanted to change hotels immediately. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall and the room was overall dirty. The bed had a terrible brown throw on top of it that was dirty and dated. I would never return.

We had a lovely weekend away at this hotel, I feel it was really good value for money. The rooms were nice the pool amazing. Would just love to see some pool lounges. And the staff all really friendly. Would definitely stay here again

Nice room - two queen beds rather than the queen and single we paid for. Excellent service, particularly for our late lunch in the bar. Reception staff also very helpful. Our room had a shower over the bath which would've been nice if we'd wanted a bath but as it was meant that there was nowhere for the built-in clothesline...

I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and had an executive room allocated. The upkeep of the room was excellent and the furnishings were tidy. Bathrooms were clean. Staff at the reception were courteous and informative about places to eat and things to do in and around New Plymouth. If you aren't a sound sleeper, ask for rooms on...

Nice clean room well appointed. The menu in the restaurant was not extensive however the meals were excellent and the wine list reasonable. Location is central with easy walking distance to shops. Would recommend.

Excellent place to stay. Central - can walk everywhere! Great rooms, poolside seating. Great meals and generous portions. Friendly housekeeping and reception staff. Will go back again - thanks to the spirit of the Muggeridge Family.

Nice clean and a beautiful hotel. Best place to stay if you want to be in the city. Spacious rooms, clean and big bathroom with a walk in shower. Amenities provided were good too, towels were soft and fluffy. I also loved the concept of a ceiling fan which i have hardly seen in the hotels, but it was a...

Very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious but very outdated and need some tlc. Lovely toiletries and great coffee station in room. Beds very soft. Try to get a room more to the back of the hotel. I had to ask some guests to stop disturbing us a few times as we were close to the lift and their children thought...

Good basic room - the standout was the Restaurant. Staff really went the extra mile, that we felt like stars, and the meal was delicious. Would be worth dining here where-ever you might actually be staying!

There was nothing wrong with the motel but it just didn't live up to what we expected (and what we have been becoming accustomed to in our NZ holiday). The room was fine, but the bed was a little too soft for our liking. Reception staff were great.
