Stayed at the Grange in February to attend a concert at Pukekura Park. The house is lovely with beautiful outside areas. Rachel and Alan are fantastic hosts and include all the comforts in the rooms. The location is prefect next door to Pukekura Park and easy walking distance into town. Would really recommend it.

My wife and I were visiting New Plymouth, seeking a good bed and breakfast, and were pleased we decided to stay at The Grange. We were greeted by Rachel and were shown to a nicely appointed room, with a rather nice covered courtyard. The situation was very good and the hospitality was wonderful. Thank you

This B&B is super flash as far as B&B's go, with the downstairs of this house including 3 separate rooms all with ensuites. 2 of the rooms have their own private outdoor patio and garden. The newest one renovated in 2012, at the end of the hall has a 5 star luxury fitout with it's own big bathroom, kitchenette, kingsize... More

We stayed here for 1 night and arrived to find the host was not around, someone else let us in and we waited around to find out where we were to stay. After a few minutes we were shown our rooms; very lovely. There was a cat in our room, not a big fan of cats sitting on my bed,... More

We stayed two nights - at the beginning and end of a round the mountain cycle tour (leisurely pace over a few days). The room was beautiful with luxury-level fitout. Great outdoor spaces available for guests too. Wonderful breakfast both days. Best thing was the relaxed flexibility of our hosts around our travel requirements - in an unassuming way they... More

We spent five nights at The Grange and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were the first guests in the newly renovated queen bedroom suite, which has its own deck overlooking a lovely park area. The facilities are very comfortable and are decorated tastefully. The pillow top bed with lots of pillows is luxurious. The rented units are downstairs, and are... More

Compact space but lacked for nothing, shower pressure excellent, little touches evident and appreciated. The setting and birdlife were entrancing. We really enjoyed the outdoor room, even in winter, a lovely place to sit. Back in a flash but perhaps best suited to independent souls, not the 'needy' variety

Spent two nights here and were hugely disappointed. We had given the host an estimated time of arrival, however, we arrived an hour early. No one at property. We went off and drove around New Plymouth and returned after 45 minutes to find still no one at the property. I called the number (on my mobile which meant I had... More
