Thanks for your feedback, and we are glad you enjoyed your time with us. The sun has been shining the last two days which make a change. My daughter headed home on the 6th and my son has now come over. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in New Zealand and have a safe journey home.

We just spent 3 nights here. What a wonderful place. We stayed at the Mokoia room, and the view is to die for! The floor-to-ceiling window overlooks the beautiful Lake Rotorua. It also has a direct entrance to the lovely patio where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful view. Chris and Dave are the most gracious hosts we have met. Not only did they invite us to join them for a glass of wine before dinner, Chris always has a cup of tea ready for us when we returned. She even came out to meet us with an umbrella when we came “home” the other night. I don’t know how many hosts will do that! We will dfinitley return. It is a quick 10-15 mins drive to the Rotorua city center, without the sulfur smell!

We so enjoyed our first “home stay” with Dave and Chris. They were so welcoming. And we enjoyed talking with them as they gave us great information and were well informed on things to do in the area. It was just a great stay and I would not hesitate to come back or just to drop in again to have tea or wine with Chris! We felt like family. We loved the alpacas in the yard.

Thank you Lucy for your kind words. You are more than welcome to come back any time, even if it is just for a cup of tea. You can do that on your way back up North if you come this way. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Regards Chris

Spent two night with friends at “A Panoramic Country Homestay” located in the hills overlooking Lake Rotorua. An easy 15 minutes drive to the centre of Rotorua, this beautiful property offers amazing panoramic views across the lake and the surrounding scenery. Our warm and friendly hosts, Chris and Dave were very welcoming and hospitable and by the end of our stay we considered them like old friends. Loads of local knowledge and directions and recommendations for must see and do’s in the region. A delicious breakfast both days set us up for the day’s adventures. For a Homestay you will remember for all the right reason, this one is fully recommended.
