Me and my girlfriend spend a couple of nigths there. Terrible. When we arrive we found glasses with urine in the lockers of the room, plugs didn´t worked and it was a very very tiny room (hopefully we were alone there). The kitchen was big but the other guests (some i suppose lived there) didn´t understand that they have to... More

Me and a few of my International friends stayed at the Cactus Jacks Backpackers for a night, it was great, friendly staff, beds were comfortable, nice and cheap, a great place to spend the night. Highly recommended no complaints 10 out of 10 👍🏽

Rooms are basic, wifi not great, kitchen big but didn't use it, people who were staying there were odd but my place was memorable & interesting for all different reasons Would i recommend it - only if there is no where else, there for a night or want a different kind of stay haha

Overall, good. Wifi was extremely bad!!!!! Kitchen was big and nice. Alot of old and weird people..but that kind of made the stay funny and interesting. The 8 bed dorms were so tiny, there was no room at all for our bags. We will always remember this hostel anyway. Not a mainstream hostel, we assure you!

This hostel is definitely one of my most memorable. The facilities aren't bad and the outside courtyard is cute. The atmosphere was brill - friendly residents and staff as well as bright paintings and artwork. Loved it! My only criticisms would be that the room I was in was kinda cramped! But thanks for squeezing me in at the last... More

This was a last minute purchase as it was raining and we were tenting. When we got into the room, the window had no screen to keep out bugs, the sheets were really dirty, kitchen closed at 9pm so we were not able to cook a hot meal as we came in late...for $60 I would expect a lot more... More

Our stay at cactus was great! The family who run it are wonderful along with all the resident guests. We stayed here for 4 weeks while working and enjoyed every minute. The place is very clean, showers are great especially the ones by the spa pool. The kitchen is well equipped and has free tea, coffee and sugar. There is... More

This is the second time I have come to stay at Cactus Jacks. It is an old accommodation (Heritage I believe), but is built with a Western kind of theme. Atmosphere is very relaxed & management are very informative of places to visit, see, & where to eat. Due to being old, in places it may look a little dirty,... More

The atmosphere in this quirky hostel is relaxed and cosy. It does not look quite as nice in reality as in the photos though. Quite a bit of the property needs a bit of work and touching up. The room we stayed in was clean and pretty comfortable but did smell like smoke. Overall, you get what you pay for... More

We were 6 Girls staying at Cactus Jacks from the 22th to the 24th of november (2015). It was such a nice hostel for us backpackers. The nicest owner with a wide DVD collection, so we could watch a movie in the livingroom. Higly recommend this place!!!
