Our family stayed at the Sport Of Kings Motel so that we could ride at the Redwoods mountain bike trails. The motel perfectly suited our needs. The hosts of this business (Peter, Tristen and Mikayla) were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. They service the rooms every day leaving them clean and tidy. The private spa pools...

This is an excellent place to see the Rotorua area. It is very clean, tidy and quiet with good parking and a lovely warm swimming pool. The hosts - Pete,Tristen and Mikayla (3) are so very helpful and knowledgable explaining where to see the best of all things natural - and there are plenty in the area. Pete led us...

As a family of 5 we booked an apartment via Agoda with 2 rooms. The owners greeted us warmly and were very helpful. Parking was excellent, the apartment itself (#4) was clean and comfortable but the kid's room had its window facing a dark walkway that meant the interior was quite dinghy. Many places in NZ do not have air...

We felt like part of the family within 30 min of arrival. Owners obviously enjoy working with travellers. Hospitality is second to none. Very well situated for mountain biking. Facilities fantastic, especially for the bikes.

Enjoyed our stay at this quiet hotel. The owners were very helpful. The room was modern and well serviced. We loved the spa available to all guests. Our only problem was there was nowhere to put our suitcases. Despite this I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

About the accommodation: clean, comfortable, the spa baths are very nice, room was spacious. Really lovely. What really sets this place apart from the others, though, is its owners, Tristan and Pete. Upon arrival, Tristan greeted us, asked us what we had planned, and immediately offered to doublecheck that the Maori dinner we'd book would pick us up from the...

The hosts at the Sport of Kings are definitely a dying breed within the hospitality industry. Friendly, informative, knowledgable about their own area and they genuinely want to help you. The weather while we were in Rotorua was dreadful so coming back to a motel that was welcoming and friendly was sensational. We had a minor hiccup with one of...
