Mick's and Teresa's B&B is a bit like Little House on the Prairie (bad rhyme unintended), you really can get lost in its nature and (not only) farm animals charm, there are, for instance, gender-bending guinea pigs too ... It rained during most of our stay (not the fault of our hosts we hasten to add!), yet we absolutely enjoyed... More

The property is beautiful. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. Our hosts Teresa and Mick could not have been more gracious, hospitable and fun to be with. We loved our 9 p.m. get togethers with them. Mick's home-made strawberry liquor was delightful - and I only wish I could have been there long enough... More

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and it was a lovely and unforgettable experience. Mike and Teresa were wonderful hosts and quickly began friends that we will hold dearly. Their hospitality made you feel right at home almost immediately. The breakfast was AMAZING. I could count within 5 fingers the number of items that were bought commercially.... More

Teresa and Mike were a wonderful, congenial hard working couple. We arrived stressed out about losing something at the airport and they greeted us with a glass of wine and excellent snacks. We walked all over their farm and even feed the sheep and the horses and the chickens. The breakfast was a work of art! Other B and Bs... More

From the Moment we arríved we felt at home at this great Location. Nice and familiar rooms, quiet Environment and best of all the warm welcome of Teresa and Mick. If it was the nice talk at the Bar or the opportunitiy to see a movie at the private Cinema everything turned out to be perfect. The Breakfast was excellent... More

We found this B&B on the Internet, and it was the highlight of our 2 week trip to NZ! Teresa & Mick are wonderful hosts who make the stay so much more with their personal touch--the lovely tea/coffee & cake at arrival, the fun "happy hour" nightcap chats, the homemade delicious breakfasts, or the many other small details during the... As we were planning our trip to NZ, we found this B&B on the Internet, and it's everything (and more) then we would have expected--things such as a solarium and a cinema room. Teresa and Mick made us feel like long-lost friends as we chatted over "happy hour" and breakfast (delicious). The location is close to Rotorua, but far enough... More

My mom and I were able to spend a couple nights at Mokoia in January - the location is easy driving distance from the town and major natural attractions, but feels nicely secluded from the tourist areas. Mick and Teresa were also very hospitable, going above and beyond to help make our stay more comfortable. Highlights of our stay included... More
