We have a spot to park our motorhome just by the river. We were accompanied by ducks and swans. That was so amazing. Very nice environment and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We tried to catch some trout for couple days, but out of luck LOL ... We had an amazing time in this holiday park, thank you!

We arrived here fresh from a trip to Hobbiton and despite the owner having to give us the bad news that our trip had been cancelled he was only to happy to spend the time advising us of the other activities we could do to fill the time. The rain didn't stop in our time there but we still enjoyed... More

I have stayed here previously over a long weekend in tents, this time we booked a 1 bedroom motel unit. We were made very welcome when we arrived and my daughter was given an ice block. Our accommodation was well appointed and we had everything we required, it also backed onto a little garden with BBQ and seating. The setting... More

Bearing in mind that one cannot buy or dine out on trout in New Zealand, to eat fresh trout you must first catch your own. This is the perfect spot to fly fish because the Waiteti River forms one of the boundaries of the Park and you can fish down to the lake from the bank. Surrounding rivers also have... More

Thank you Michael and Jeanette. We really do love it at Waiteti. We've been back again and again and again and we hope to see you guys in the future. This place has got something for everyone. You drive down the driveway and the place opens up to a secret paradise. It's like the garden of eden. There's a stream,... More

The room is tiny but clean! I checked in late and the staff left me a map to show the location of my room! Ducks near the river are interesting! They actively approached me as they thought i will feed them!

We stayed here for a couple of nights mainly because I had booked Harvey Clark, The Trout Man, for a day's guided fishing. The park is clearly aimed at families and anglers but it is well-managed and staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. But the highlight was my... More

We stayed here on a spur on the moment, on our way down to Rotorua. The price was average for a powered site for two people. The facilities were basic but not uncomfortable. The only problem was that the tumble dryer wasn't working which we found out after washing our clothes. There's a lovely river right next to the park,... More

We stayed here on Thursday after a busy day in Rotorua and with an early start ahead of us on Friday. Thus we didn't explore the full potential of this site, which was a real shame. They have free kayaks which would be great to use! The owner was very helpful and the facilities good although there is a current... More

Room was barely above a solitary confinement cell. Staff were initially friendly but this quickly changed. The amount of flies about the place was staggering, especially in the food prep areas. The solar showers, even during the day in summer were not much above tepid. The WiFi, whilst free was a very poor connection. In short, unhygienic, cramped and stunningly... More
