We chose to stay at this self catering accommodation because it is located just outside of the town centre, in a quiet location with great views across Rotorua. We stayed here for 3 nights and found it very convenient for all the activities we wanted to do in the town. The self catering accommodation has all the modern facilities you...

Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage and especially meeting our pet alpacas. We are glad that you found it had enough space for you too and that you found it convenient for the city, being just 6km (10 mins) drive away. It was great to meet you both and hear...

Hosts Angie and Leigh made us feel so welcome and at home in the Tui Suite. Beautiful accommodation and the continental breakfast a delight. All homemade jams, delicious! Six friendly Alpacas greeting you each morning, just gorgeous. Stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding. Beautiful walking trails, Redwood Walk and Springs. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We really enjoyed meeting you both and when you left it felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. We were so sorry that the weather wasn't better on the day of the wedding but glad you had a great time anyway. We do hope to see you both...

We had two nights at City Lights and with Angie and Leigh's advice had some not to be missed outings. We had a Maori evening (before leaving for the evening, I was helpfully advised about volunteering to be a chief at this avent!!) Also recommended a visit to see Frying Pan Lake. Both Angie and Leigh are very welcoming host's...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We are happy that you found our recommendations useful and had the hi-light of being chosen to be "chief" when you went to the Mitai evening experience. We are sure that will be a memory to cherish from your time in New Zealand. We are...

I was staying at a business hotel in Auckland in September and wanted to find somewhere a bit more friendly to stay for my one weekend in Rotorua. City Lights Boutique Lodge was exactly what I'd hoped for. The Tui Suite was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view over the terrace and the valley below and alpacas just...

Angie and Lee were very informed and welcoming hosts. We had a lovely, airy room with great views to the mountains below and beyond. Angie gave us great advice on places to visit and we even managed a dip in the hot tub/spa in the garden. Breakfast was continental which is a bit of a problem when you're gluten free...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us especially the views and found our advice useful. We are sorry to hear that you found the breakfast restrictive. Most of the breakfast we provide for all our guests is gluten-free. The fruits, cheese, meats, eggs, yoghurts and...

Leigh and Angie were great hosts who worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect. Were very generous with their time and introduced us to their pet Alpacas and cat Oscar. For those who don't like cats Oscar is no problem as he keeps himself to himself and sleeps a lot. Our room was large with a patio overlooking...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious. Angie and Leigh are fabulous hosts and very eager to help with anything you require. This accommodation is well placed for everything and the lovely alpacas that they own are a lovely distraction.

We very much enjoyed our stay at City Lights, appreciating this very comfortable lodge. The bath rooms and bedrooms are spacious and very well appointed and guests can enjoy relaxing in the vast sitting areas in and outdoors. The view from the grounds spectacular. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

My mom and I spent two days at City Lights and couldn't have asked for a better place to call home base. We stayed in the cottage and spent more time relaxing on the back porch than we did in town because we loved the view (and the alpacas) that much! You couldn't ask for a better place to sit...
