This property helped us out at the last minute when our other accommodation fell through. They were super helpful and responsive - very much appreciated! The rooms were a good size and clean, very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

My sons and I booked three rooms and had a superb weekend, that was made special by the quality of the Admirals View Lodge - and with large luxurious spa baths in the rooms. Being tall we asked and got three King Size beds - which in itself is never easy - but it was and we slept very well. The motel is back from the sea but overlooks the bay and has great sun all day long. It is close enough to be able to walk to local bars and restaurants and visit attractions, but far enough removed so it is quiet and peaceful.

Perfect spot to sit in the afternoon sun and listen to the Tui in this little bit of paradise with a bonus sea view from our balcony. We have been visiting Paihia for many years but this Is the first time to this little gem. Immaculately clean (from an ex motel cleaner) and very friendly service. Definitely be back. Thank you. And I need to mention very well priced. We were in room 5 in July, next time I’ll try a spa suite.

We were on holiday when the New Zealand lockdown was announced and our flight home was cancelled. The b&b we had stayed a few nights at (we had been due to move on) contacted Penny at Admirals Lodge to ask if they could accommodate us. They had intended to close the business during Lockdown but kindly rented us a lovely large bright immaculately clean en suite room with a balcony looking over the town and the sea. Fantails played in the trees alongside the balcony. Penny and Craig were incredibly helpful - giving advice on how to obtain prescription medication, for example, as we didn't know how long we'd be in Lockdown, getting us a temporary Netflix membership, lending dvds and books. As all cafes and restaurants were shut, we had to do more cooking than one would normally do in a motel room but guests here also have access to a couple of great gas bbqs. Helped no end. Our tour company found us a flight home sooner than we anticipated and we were rather sad to say goodbye to our lockdown haven. Paihia is beautiful and in other circumstances we'd have enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants, booking boat trips and catching the ferry to Russell. As it was we did enjoy walking the coastal paths and seeing the numerous local birds including New Zealand kingfisher. Thanks again Penny and Craig. We hope to be back - one day!

We stayed for 2 nights from 17th March in a standard studio room, we were given room 10 on the ground floor. This was our first experience of staying in a motel so we were not too sure what to expect. We were greeted very warmly on arrival and shown to our room and given some milk for the fridge should we need it. The room was quite big, it had a small kitchen area which we didn't use, this part of the room could do with a little overhaul. The bed was comfortable and the room had sky TV and air conditioning, but there is no safe in the room. The bathroom was a good size, with a good amount of towels. We were able to park our car outside the room, however the property was not busy as the coronavirus situation was already taking hold on tourism in the country. The location was good, you could walk to the centre of town within 5 to 10 minutes, would recommend Greens for Indian/Thai food.

Nga mihi, we appreciate you taking the time to post your review. We would love to upgrade the kitchen area, but Covid19 has put any upgrades we have planned on hold indefinitely. We will concentrate on providing a fully functioning kitchen and comfortable rooms until the world is able to travel again.
