We booked into a private double room, which turned out to be a family room, huge comfy queen size bed, ensuite toilet and shower. All very new looking and clean. The kitchen / diner area was really nice, modern facilities, lots of space. I would recommend to anyone!

We traveled around New Zealand for a month, staying in many different hostels and motels in both the North and South island. Seabeds was the third hostel we stayed in and it completely spoiled us for anywhere else! Why you should stay here: - A stunning location with views out to the sea. - A light, airy and elegant kitchen... More

This is by far the most beautiful and clean hostel in all of New Zealand. I stayed here for 3 nights to take a bit of a vacation from my year working in Christchurch and fell in love with the hostel! Everything about it is perfect, from the comfortable beds, the amazing kitchen, the lovely owner, the location right on... More

I stayed here for 2 nights right at the end of my trip through NZ, and it was honestly the best of the 25+ hostels I've stayed in while travelling New Zealand. It has all the typical amenities of a hostel: dorm rooms (with comfortable beds and no bunk beds) and shared kitchen, but it doesn't feel like you are... More

I echo everyone else's sentiments. Fresh, modern, tastefully decorated and spacious. Much more like a wonderful and lovely guest house. "Backpackers" this place is not. At the price offered this place would tear strips off many of the local hotels. I spend about 1 night in every 3 in a hotel of some description, in NZ and elsewhere. When I... More

Fantastic place. Comfortable beds and modern kitchen and bathrooms. All very clean and neat. Got a bed last minute and was very pleased! Highly recommended. Parking available out the front which is handy. They arrange tours etc which is handy.

We stayed 3 nights in a six bed dorm. But that wasn't a real six bed dorm because every two beds are in a separate room. So you have a lot more privacy! Just perfekt! All facilities were stunning!! Clean, modern, new! Perfect! We had an amazing time and would definetly stay again! Also Paihia is a good base to... More

Our upstairs room was spacious with a roomy bathroom, comfortable bed, very clean, quiet Location, helpful friendly manager on site. There is a communal kitchen which is huge and modern, well equipped with dining and lounge rooms, TV, CD player, books, as well. I would stay here again!!!

Seabeds was definitely one of the nicest hostels we stayed in during our 5 week travels around NZ. The whole place is a little more sophisticated than some other hostels and the decor is fresh and modern, with a nautical theme appropriate for its location by the sea in the lovely Paihia. Our room was a private double with heaps... More

My partner and I arrived in Paihia earlier than expected during our holiday. We were recommended Seabeds by the Outrigger Hotel. We were given a discount because we were staying for two nights which sealed the deal. The hostel itself has everything - great TV room, large kitchen area, and it's about 60 seconds walk to the beach. We were... More
