Stayed five nights, wonderful property, great food, mostly grown or made on the property and perfect hosts. Very close to Taradale and yet in the country. Sue and Brian provided a great place to relax, ensured that everything was perfect for our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place around Napier.
With so much hyperbole in these reviews, it is diffiult to write an impactful commentary. Sue is a very attentive and thoughful hostess and Brian highly entertaining; his Italian seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, located close to Napier in peaceful surroudings, with a nightlight in the bathroom for those who need to make nightime visits....what more could one ask ? Thank you for an entertaining and memorable stay !
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Redcliffe Homestead, a lovely home impeccably renovated. Our hosts, Sue and Brian, were delightful and we enjoyed our conversations with them tremendously. We opted for dinner our first night, which was prepared by Sue and was delicious. Sue pointed us to restaurants for other meals, a highlight being the HungerMonger in Napier. We brought a bottle of wine back from a nearby winery and enjoyed it on our room’s porch. We look forward to returning to New Zealand and staying at Redcliffe.
Our first visit to Hawke’s Bay.Sue and Brian helped us to discover the area pointing us in the right direction in every way. The gardens and produce ensuing were special A very happy experience for us
We can only endorse all the earlier good reviews. Accomodation was excellent. Hospitality was excellent. Hosts absolutely brilliant. Sue is an amazing cook/chef. Breakfasts were excellent. Home made breakfast cereals, jams and yoghurt. Amazing gardens with so many productive trees. It would be hard to equal the accommodation, the food and the welcome. A short review but a great one.
