We arrived late and we have pre-ordered our dinner which was prepared to the time we wanted. The hosts Diana and Charlie are very nice people. The house is big and clean. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The breakfast is great too. The area with a television different activities is nice. We had a tour around the farm... More

Our party of two couples stayed at Shailers Bed & Breakfast during the first week of July in 2016. Their home has been remodeled to afford their guests comfort and privacy. There are beautiful views of the countryside from their home, and one of the walls in our room was all windows with a sliding glass door that offers egress... More

We loved staying with Charlie and Diana! The food was home grown, organic and so delicious! Really - they went above and beyond for every meal. The rooms were so clean, beautifully appointed and comfortable! The hosts had great information about local attractions and facilitated all our efforts to get out to see the major attractions in the area. This... More

This B&B is one of the best we've ever stayed at. Charlie and Dianna are absolutely lovely hosts, making our entire family feel at home the instant we arrived on a cold wet winter's day. The place is immaculately maintained, with thoughtful additions wherever you look. We booked two rooms, one with a king bed and the other with two... More

We stayed for three nights in April 2016. We were in the deluxe room and it was very nice with an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast (and the breakfast choices) was outstanding!. We found it to be a nice central place from which to visit Raglan, Hamilton Gardens, Maungatautari bird sanctuary, Rotorua (including the Tamaki Cultural Village), and the LDS temple in... More

Charlie and Dianna are genuinely nice. Dianne is an excellent cook and the meals served are generous. Do eat in at Shailers, give it a try on your first night (I did that and then told Dianne I'll be having Dinner for the rest of my stay). Charlie is always willing to share his local knowledge. When I told him... More

We have travelled all over the world and stayed at many B and B establishments, without a doubt Shailers was the best ever. The owners were very friendly, full of local information. The evening dinners were superb, home grown fruits and vegetables. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet. If we were to go back to New Zealand, we would make a... More

Altogether an excellent stay with two brilliant people. Tip top! We could not have asked for a warmer welcome and to be so well looked after. The room was very clean and comfortable and had excellent facilities. The catering was delicious. We thoroughly recommend Shailers.

One of the best accommodations/ farm stays on the north island. Diana and Charlie are true kiwi's. Great hosts. Very nice dairy farm. Very knowledgeable about their great country. Charlie gives a excellent tour of his farm and others nearby with his RTV.
