I cancelled my booking well within the free cancellation period, they charged me anyway over £140. I contacted them and they admitted their mistake, and yet 2 weeks later I still haven't got a refund. Also emails I have received have no name attached which I find weird and unprofessional.

My partner and I decided to stay there because of the location, but ended up regretting it terribly. There was no one at reception at 3 pm and we were asked to wait until 7 pm (!) for someone to arrive. And when we finally went to sleep, woke up to an itch on our backs and a horrible sight of dozens of blood-filled bed bugs. Disgusting!!

This hotel is a good location, the room was too small, i stayed in a room with other 3 people, the bathroom didn`t have soap and just one shower and toilet for all floor, the bathroom was mixto. Around there are many restaurants and supermarkets.

By the looks of these other reviews the bathrooms have been newly renovated. They definitely live up to expectation - felt like a hotel! Nice balcony. Rooms are a decent size and beds are super comfy. Not sure how safe it felt as we’re pretty sure there was a homeless guy who lived in the lounge.. apart from that we couldn’t fault our stay

Good value for money. Free wifi is provided and its connection and speed are good. The kitchens are 24/7 so it's convenient. I cook anytime I want, no pressure. Free tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided in both kitchens. Staffs at the front are friendly and helpful. One of the bathroom and toilet area is newly renovated and more upgrades to come. The only problem is there is no lift. You may ask help from staffs to carry luggage. Also the kitchen facilities are very basic but it's enough for simple meals.

Such a smooth and welcoming check-in. Wei was very nice and very helpful, he looked out for us right up until check-out. We stayed in a private double room which was fantastic value. The WiFi was amazing, reaching the room and allowed us to chill and watch Netflix for those days which we needed to. The location is great and is a short 5/10minute walk from the hustle and bustle of queens street. The bathrooms were clean, the terrace was great for the good weather and the kitchen had all the equipment needed for the majority of your catering needs. Definitely recommend as the perfect stay in Auckland.

The name is wrong. Welcome to FLEAS HOUSE. I been there for a month. I didn't have choice because I just arrived in NZ. WTH! Are they kidding me. I got bite in all my body. Bad bugs everywhere. Kitchen very dirty. Such a terrible place for cook. Especially if somebody want to prepare a meal for yourself. Please keep the distance for this place

Pretty dirty in general, mainly the showers. Quite a bit of noise during the night as people kept partying on the kitchen until 8am. Hand soap in the toilets is too much to ask? It was common for me to find all doors unlocked which looked unsafe. The property provides lockers with keys but my key didn't open any of them. The location was good, I could walk to most of my activities. The staff went much beyond ther responsibilities to help you with booking problems, even if it was due to my mistake. Great work guys!

Average hostel. Fine for one or 2 nights but not the best. Kitchen facilities were very poor and always dirty. Would not stay here again. If you are getting the bus into Auckland it is pretty far from the bus station and up a huge hill if your backpacking. Much better options available

During last 3 years my favourite Auckland YMCA hostel rised the price for single room from 13€ to over 50€ for 1 night. Therefore I was trying to find another place to stay, but cheaper if possible.I have chosen K Road City Travelers. It has great location just on the K´road, good bed, bathroom ok (some mold on the ceiling), quiet during night, helpful reception staff - possibility to print something (like boarding pass etc.).
