In the lead-up to coming to New Zealand with my partner, Sam, I dreaded the managed isolation after reading horror stories from people who stayed at other hotels and were stuck with terrible food, cramped quarters, and indifferent staff for 2 weeks. But when we arrived at the Auckland airport and were told that our bus was headed to M Social, we breathed a sign of relief. We had done our research and knew it was a modern, stylish hotel on the waterfront, but what we didn't know yet was how caring, generous, and personalized the service would be. Indeed, staying at M Social was one of the luckiest things that happened to me in all of 2020! Every meal was excellent and very generously portioned (miso salmon! chicken pot pie! short ribs!), the rooms were bright and comfortable and quiet (never once heard my neighbors), but the real difference-maker was the service. The front desk team remembered my face from check in and said hello to me by name (!) when I walked through the lobby. They wrote lovely personalized notes on the paper bags when we get drinks delivered to the room. They accommodated my request for food delivery early in the delivery window as I was working US hours. And they delivered holiday themed (Labor Day and Halloween) picnics with special treats and decorations, which made my entire week. And when we left, we were presented with framed certificates noting our completion of stay, along with a round of applause from the front desk staff. I was overwhelmed by gratitude and should've been the one applauding them! I really hope someone from M Social reads this posting so they can see how much their efforts are appreciated. What could've been a challenging or demoralizing experience turned out to be a pleasure! Will look forward to staying again post-COVID. They've earned a loyal guests for life. -Joe and Sam, rooms 307 and 308.

What a treat to be put in a 5 star hotel for our managed isolation! Such friendly and efficient staff, amazing food and lovely views of the harbour that made our two weeks go super fast. Thanks guys for an experience to remember happily and with much gratitude. With love, the Whitaker Family xxx

I have been blown away by the incredible care and kindness shown by the M Social to those of us in MOQ, many of whom, like me, are travelling due to distressing personal circumstances. The hotel itself is fantastic, with great rooms and views. Great as the building and location are, it is the staff who are the heart of the place and they bring their "A Game" to work everyday. Without exception staff have been amazing; brilliant reception staff, cleaners, laundry staff and management and the chef's - WOW! The food is insanely good- it's lush, fresh and innovative. I wish M Social every success in the future - you deserve it! I highly encourage people reading this to stay at this wonderful place, you won't regret it. Ginny, Room 409 :)

I was lucky enough to do my isolation here. I am so thankful for the staff here. They go above and beyond . Harlen on reception was always happy and cheerful when I rang down. Always very helpful. I gave up smoking while here and received a signed card and chocolates to congratulate me on day 5 smoke free. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. Although my stay here was for quarantine upon arrival into New Zealand. I found my stay here to be phenomenal. Great rooms with splendid views and great food. The staff here are amazing, very accommodating. But one of the staff (April from Front Desk) was exceptional. Great energy yet professional and always greeted with a contagious smile. Unequivocally outstanding. Overall my stay here was amazing and would highly recommend MSocial Hotel. I will definitely be back. Greatly appreciated, Charles
