I am commenting to make sure reviewers realize that this is actually the site for the Kotare Lodge in Rotorua. The last two reviewers, Eve and Susan, were obviously writing about the Kotare Lodge in Sandspit, near Matakana......as I am deliberately about to do, as I feel previous reviews, (which clearly referred to Rotorua), could be give a bad and...

Beautiful location but overpriced for boxed cereal breakfast. I hope this is the right b and b- Sandpit Bay? The only Kotare Lodge I can find. I am a little confused.... The room looks like it but this is Auckland

Unlike the last two reviews, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Kotare Lodge. We were traveling with another couple and occupied the two spacious, clean, and well furnished rooms that are available to rent. We got a discount for taking both rooms and paid NZ$195/night. This is expensive but not out of line with many...

I bought a voucher that had been advertised - 2nights stay for $200 (seems like a GREAT promotion) so why not. It suited well as the terms and conditions stated 1year validity, book any time - subject to availability. When I went to book (with 8months validity left) after my partner had confirmation from the owners that they had the...

The first thing you notice about Kotare Lodge is the beauty of the place. Magnificent lakeside setting, with beautifully manicured lawns and well-kept garden. Better still, it has none of the suphur smell that might overwhelm some tourists in Rotorua. Unfortunately the owners of Kotare seemed to have breathed in too much of that windy lake air over the years....

Kotare Lodge is tucked away in a quiet corner on the edge of lake Rotorua. Breathtaking gardens and views of the lake surrond this fantastic B&B. The hosts, Murray & Kate are equally fabulous and provide an unforgettable experience. The breakfast is out of this world and you are surprised every day with a new delight. The accomodation is spacious...

We arrived at Kotare Lodge early evening and were greeted with the most wonderful and welcoming hosts: Murray and Kate. The location is perfect, spectacular and stunning views of Lake Rotorua, the rooms are beautifully decorated and are light and spaceous. I'd prefer not to say much about the breakfast cooked by the famous 'Maurice' - I will let that...

We had such a fabulous time at the Kotare Lodge. Our hosts, Murray and Kate, could not have been more wonderful. They are very kind and offered us as much assistance as we needed in planning our stay. The accommodations were excellent! Gorgeous grounds, beautiful. well maintained rooms with breathtaking views of the lake. The breakfasts were the best I...
