We arrived in Perth after a flight from the UK with the usual jet lag, so we really only needed somewhere to start recovering. We had one of the named rooms, Gotland, which is a nice big room with lots of storage and a good size bathroom. The only drawback was that it is an internal room; there are windows but they open out onto a corridor. There is no natural ventilation and we found the air conditioner a bit noisy. But then, as I said, we had jet lag and didn’t care much! This is a great hotel with real character, much better than all the more modern hotels in the city. You will probably have read elsewhere about the excellent buffet breakfast. It really has to be experienced to appreciate it. We would highly recommend both the hotel and the buffet breakfast!
After a 16 hour plane flight from London, you want a good place to crash, in a decent location in Perth, not too far from anything, and a damn good breakfast the following morning. This ticks all the boxes.
The rooms are pretty no-frills, but you don't need much if you are jet lagged, just a decent bed, bathroom and TV, with good Wi-Fi. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.
The breakfast is something to behold, and worth staying purely for that.
We have enjoyed the overnight package before and this visit was just as good. The room was spacious and clean. The food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a lovely break. Will definitely be back.
from the cleanliness of the hotel to the personalities of the the restaurant staff, including the priceless Theresa, the whole holiday experience was fabulous. We booked on the internet as most people do, not quite knowing what to expect.we had the best experience ever. The hotel staff made our stay the most memorable occasion and when we return, this is the place we will stay. Thank you one and all, Vic, Marilyn, Andy and Jan, xxxx.
This hotel was unique and very homely with good rooms and friendly staff. Smorgasbord Breakfast every day in the restaurant, which is also public, was terrific and the one dinner we had in the hotel was good. Great location with the free CAT bus service stopping outside. Perth Station and pedestrianised city centre were very close. I would stay there again as it was a completely different to the chain hotels.
