Went here instead of Mornington as they were closed for a couple of days. Lovely grassed camping area with good facilities including gas bbqs and good showers. Did all the 4wd tracks. Great countryside. Would be good earlier in the season as the waterfalls and swimming holes had mostly dried up. We did take the canoe out though and that... More

We stayed at the start of Sept 2016. Staff were really helpful and the facilities were terrific, clean hot showers, and we could charge up cameras etc in the amenities block. The campground is lawn which the staff go to a lot of trouble to keep green which is a nice break from the Gibb Dust. Lots of birdlife to... More

Well done, AWC!! Thank you for protecting this wonderful place and enabling tourists to see it! I have been to many places in the Kimberleys but this one was surely one of the closest to nature. Dingos chase the flying foxes at the campground, Wallabies and many birds come close if you just sit and watch. The campground is well... More

Ended up staying a extra night as was so relaxing. The road in is amazing and were warmly welcomed . Beautiful clean grassed camp grounds . Loved the drives to the various locations with roads the best we had been on throughout the Gibb . Wonderful lookout and even though its been a dry wet we were able to swim... More

We camped for 2 nights. The 43 K drive in from the Gibb River Road was in vey good condition. The campground is very big with excellent and clean showers and flushing toilets. All very picturesque with grass, shade trees etc. There were only about 20 other campers/caravans, possibly because of the cost - $25 entry and $20 per person... More

This is about 50 kms up a dead end road, our drive there was very hard and bumpy but when we left, the road graders had been through and it was much easier. There is a $25 entrance fee plus $20 per person to camp which makes it expensive although the entrance fee is said to go to an Australian... More

Stayed at Charnley River as Mornington Wilderness was full - and we had a lucky escape by all accounts due to numbers. Could not say that about Charnley as it was beautiful, not busy, great ablutions and fabulous gorge walks with swimming at the end - Grevillea Gorge was there just for us! Will definitely return to do the remaining... More

We spent 3 days there after our caravan broke down and was sent back to derby. Lorrie and chicko were great hosts helping us out in every way and would be the best camp bosses on the gibb. As for the station it is stunning to see with wild life through out the grounds. Grass can be a little dead... More

Lovely amenities with hot gas showers, spacious grassed, shady campground, helpful friendly managers, lovely gorges and swimming holes and best of all, not too busy even in peak season. I would highly recommend this station as part of your Gibb a River Rd trip. Well worth the drive in.

The managers of this property Lorrie and Chicko were so very helpful an informative. We stayed in May 2015 and there were only about 6 other campers. Lovely hot Showers / Toilets , which we got to share with many frogs. Lots of wallabies around the camp site. We went to visit Grevillia Gorge and had the whole Gorge to... More
